Minecraft: Xbox One Edition is rolling out now!

So what's the deal with the achievements? Same as the 360 but you'd have to unlock them all over again?

EDIT: Oh, it seems there is 1000GS now and lots of new ones.
 
Releasing hours earlier than the actual release date is starting to be a thing now, I guess. No complaints here.
 
Hmm, dunno if I want it. I have it on PC but I haven't played it much in awhile. Playing on XBO/TV would be nice though I think.

Glad to see its finally happening - hope to hear and see that it was ported well since I'll be getting it too with the discount whenever I finally pick up the XB1.
 
Still showing as $19.99 even though I've played the 360 version on my gamertag. Guessing you actually need to of purchased the digital version for the discount. I own the disc version
 
Oh shit, I didn't realize the Xbox One version was getting the $5 price for 360 owners too, like PS4/PS3.

I own the XBLA version. Sweet. Glad I didn't cave on the PS4 version earlier today.

Try replaying it or wait to see if it updates I just played it once when a friend brought it over and I got it for $5

The video I linked in the OP says you should see the price if you've played the disc version.

Don't know what's up.
 
I just got the PS3/4/Vita combo earlier, but for $4.99, I'm tempted to buy the game again for the X1 to play with friends... Oh Minecraft you sly devil.
 
According to the video in the OP, it should work as long as you have connected to Xbox Live whilst playing Minecraft, either on disc or digitally. No idea why the discount isn't showing yet. Maybe it'll kick in eventually

Maybe try & play the 360 version again and see if it kicks in?
 
It instantly worked for me, and I played the disc version about 4-5 months ago. I only played it only once I think.
 
Discount showed immediately for me. NA, West coast and had the digital version. Maybe you need one achievement for it to be on your gamer history?

I had to exit the store and go back in for the discount to kick in.

It was not coming up for me in the New Games section, so just did a search for it and it popped up. It feels very smooth so far, but the NFL is about to start and going to watch the game then play Minecraft for a bit tonight.

BTW. There are a ton of add-on's to buy with it available.
 
Holy sh*t. I had no idea the Halo mash up used actualy Halo music. I'm basically playing minecraft with epic Halo tracks in the background. This is awesome.
 
I have never played this game and I am not interested in building elaborate structures. However, the survival and exploration aspects of the game are intriguing. Does the game work well in those respects? Also if I borrowed a friends copy of the game and played on my 360 system/account, does the X1 upgrade work?
 
Cant confirm which ones, but there are some free stuff on the marketplace for the game. Just downloaded a texture pack via smartglass and it said it was free. just and fyi

I'm actually playing the 360 version right now and just uploaded a save and mine is still showing $19.99 too. (physical version)
 
Was this ever obtainable through a other region account (The whole Moroccan thing?)

Because I was eligible to get the upgrade but i don't remember purchasing the game as I had no interest in it.



Or I bought it while drunk and forgot about it.
 
I've never played but somehow my 4 year old has played and wants this. I might have to make him a profile and download it.
 
Bought, will get into tomorrow with the girlfriend. It's one of the few games she enjoys to play and can play together.
