Minna no Golf Portable 2 - december

I have been considering picking this up, but I have never played the Minna no Golf series, so I am a bit cautious. If I enjoyed playing Pangya (online PC) would I probably like this game as well? Is it easy to pick up even if I don't know much about golf?

Pangya is the Korean ripoff of this game.

MnG is more about math than golf. Measure your distance. Account for the percentage of accuracy, and pray for good timing.

Yesterday I tried it.

Turned of, activated WIFI, configured it to see my home connection, logged in.
I went for Tournaments and found a match starting in 70 seconds.
Some people joined, 10 (but up to 16!!) and we entered all together into the lobby.
The match started....

I have no worlds to describe it.

If you played and loved the PS3 version, I can tell you that the only differences between the PS3 and PSP version are:

- in PS3 you can use fixed sentences and write using the virtual key (or the real keyboard), in PSP you can just use the fixed sentences
- in PS3 you see the other people people playing, in PSP you see the icons of the faces

All the other stuff is in this version!!
You see the balls of the other players moving in real time into the court!
No lag at all and very easy interface.

I really really love this game.
It is a dream that comes true.

GET IT NOW!

Sounds really amazing. I can just imagine being at work/on a trip and at a coffee shop with wi-fi and sitting back and drinking some coffee/tea while playing MnG online with 15 other players.

If I had more of a "portable" use for my psp, instead of always playing it at home, I'd get this in an instant.

I know it's the Korean rip-off, but is the original much better?

I liked the distance judging / timing aspect of the game, so if its pretty much the same type of thing in Mingol then I think I'll go buy it.

Yup. You'll be hooked. Sadly I will be, too. Again.

Thanks! I'll go get it right now and post impressions later.

I just read what I wrote in my first impression post

I have no worlds to describe it. lol!

I meant "words" of course. :)

Anyway, after a few days playing this jewel, I really want to assure you all that:
- japanese is not a problem at all (expecially in this version)
- playing against humans is sooooooo wonderful that you cannot believe it

I'm really thinkin to find a way to play it in office too but the signal is not strong enough and I need to aplify it using my DLINK DWL-122 key (if there is a way) :)

I'm waiting for you, golfers!
