Yeah well this show propelled him into the spotlight and he has had a film 'Killing Bono' made and in other films 'Cherrybomb' and stuff... so yeah he's just basically giving a middle finger to what launched his career

He's still hardly "A" or hell even "B" list. Killing Bono isn't even tracked by Box Office Mojo and Cherrybomb is a film that received mixed reviews.

Being "too good for the show" is like when people criticized Ashton Kutcher for not leaving "That 70's Show" since he was constantly in significant films. And even then so he launched a healthy career, same with his costar Mila Kunis. As long as the show is popular you should stay. The only exception is if it gets in the way of obvious successes you can achieve
there is no evidence of this
.

This all really seems like something his on screen character Nathan would do if he had a successful career in the business. Maybe he was just playing himself the whole time?

wtf Nathan. This is terrible news. he was the heart of the show. S3 should probably be the last then. Have Nathan get killed by a villain and make it a real super hero type show. idk.

Currently just finished Season 2 episode 2.

And this series is getting a little too, how do I say this, adolescent for me.

Does the series get better this season?

I can definitely get behind this. No Nathan means no show as far as I'm concerned. Let Nathan's death be a real wake-up call to the rest of the characters, propelling them to true super hero status with Simon as leader.

Just finished episode 3 of Season 2 and holy shit this was probably the best in the entire series.

Gay Nathan and Simon is BATMAN!?

I disagree, gay episodes the worse.

The only bad episode was the gay episode imo, other than that it's been pretty solid.

Bring on season 3!

I finished watching the entire series (so far) this morning and I have a question.

Why would Nathan
forever be a vegetable? Someone would have discovered him, then take him to the hospital where they'd kill him, and he'd resurrect fine. Right?

In the middle of episode 5 as I type this. Nathan and Simon are the only characters I care about. I want to hate the social worker but I can't tell if she's evil yet....

Ok Misfits fans, as you probably know, Misfits returns to E4 in October with some changes.
Robert Sheehan is leaving and Joe Gilgun is joining the gang. And to say farewell to Nathan and hearty hello to Joe we've got an exclusive film coming right here to E4.com.

The film focusses on Nathan, who - armed with a new superpower - has got a plan to go out in style. His target? Las Vegas, baby!

With Marnie and little Nathan Jnr. still in the picture, Nathan is plotting to use his new superpower to scam the casinos. It's a sure-fire plan that can't fail. Except it will, of course.

Vegas Baby! will premiere right here on E4.com/misfits on Thursday 15 September.

Excited???
Yay! It's almost here! :D

ETA: Apparently, this picture is from the new season.

Yesss, pretty close, I'm curious to see how the show will feel now. I have a friend who lost interest because of Sheehan leaving, I hope the season is quality from the start so he can be convinced to keep watching.

Hype rising again! Not that it was down, but the dry season for series made it that way.

So 15th September right!

w0t, Sheenan's leaving? To me he's, like, the MAIN main character in the show. :( While I don't hate the other characters in the show, Sheenan's character and just being there kind of made their flaws & bitchiness bearable. Not sure if I'll enjoy watching this series without him.

So I just watched the season 1 and 2 in the last few days.

I was absolutely loving this show, but something changed in the last couple of episodes of season 2 and it became really dumb.

Is that just me?

Also Nathan is just so fucking fantastic. If he isn't in season 3 then im not sure the show will be nearly as good. I will stick around if Simon is still on though.

Ack. Yeah, I'm always mixing up peoples names, thanks!

I just remember Alisha saw the clip where they were being interviewed and asked Future Simon if they become famous. When they become famous, that exact interview is shown, all that shit happens, and then Curtis rewinds time and they kill the milk guy before things get out of hand. If they never actually became famous in the normal timeline, how did future Simon have that clip? I guess he could have come from a different future, but I get the feeling it was just an oversight.

Also
that whole conversation between simon and alisha about "future simon" happened in the milk episode - meaning it didn't happen. Why does he still remember it in the Jesus episode?

I don't think its all that much better than Heroes as it is more fun to watch but they are pretty stupid as a group they keep killing

I just finished season 2 ep 1 so I'll take a break here... that was kinda creepy before I go to sleep

Last episode was 3 months after the previous one. Could have easily had that conversation again in the 3 months in between.

Saw the first couple episodes recently, and I dunno. I liked a lot about it, but the main character is obnoxious as hell. I don't know if the writers overdid the character or if the actor sucks and keeps on overacting, but he acts more like he's on stage than on camera. Those scenes where he mimes sex and gay sex and whacking off are just ridiculous and highly cringe inducing.

I'm inclined to think it's more the writing at fault though because of that scene with the girl sucking on the bottle for entirely too long. People usually aren't that animated in real life, so scenes like those make it painfully obvious that someone is trying to entertain me and thinks watching some dude act out two dudes in a locker room is what I like.

I'm chalking it up to early-show awkwardness and writers/actors still feeling out the characters before really taking off, though. Since the season is only a handful of episodes I'll give it a shot through the end of this one and see how we do. That overacting stuff was the only thing that really bothered me.

Dude, that's what makes the show. And he's leaving anyway (unfortunately!) so I guess you'll probably enjoy it after that

lol, I don't know why I didn't think of that. I wish they hadn't skipped three months =/ Now we won't get to see Simon and Alisha getting together. I thought the Jesus episode was going to be like a regular "christmas special" type - you can not watch it and still have the series make sense because it was just an extra bit. Kept waiting for time to rewind :(

Nathan isn't the main character, and you are uncomfortable with sex. In fact Nathan was my least liked character, even though I liked his mannerisms. Kelly, Simon > Nathan

LOL I, too, hated Nathan during the first season. He gets a lot better with time.

I believe it was the main writer who said that Alisha finding out Simon's secret/getting together would have been very similar to the way we saw during the Lactokinesis episode so he didn't want to waste time doing the whole thing again.

For some reason this reminds me of the Dakota universe from Milestone Comics under the DC line. Those familiar with the world will know why.

Hopefully BBCUSA brings this over.

I think that would be the editor's fault more than the script writers ;)

There were a couple of jokes I thought were dragged out a bit too long, but overall it was pretty good.

sorry for the bump, but I found Simon, Kelly and Nathan have twitter accounts!

E4Misfits tweeted 20-ish minutes ago: "So, if you’ve been wondering what Nathan and Simon have been up to lately check out @nathanmisfits and @simonmisfits at 4pm today.". Maybe a sneak peak at the Vegas thing?

Also, Lauren Socha (Kelly) has her own account.
