Neo Child said:Yeah well this show propelled him into the spotlight and he has had a film 'Killing Bono' made and in other films 'Cherrybomb' and stuff... so yeah he's just basically giving a middle finger to what launched his career
He's still hardly "A" or hell even "B" list. Killing Bono isn't even tracked by Box Office Mojo and Cherrybomb is a film that received mixed reviews.
Being "too good for the show" is like when people criticized Ashton Kutcher for not leaving "That 70's Show" since he was constantly in significant films. And even then so he launched a healthy career, same with his costar Mila Kunis. As long as the show is popular you should stay. The only exception is if it gets in the way of obvious successes you can achieve
there is no evidence of this
This all really seems like something his on screen character Nathan would do if he had a successful career in the business. Maybe he was just playing himself the whole time?
