Misheard Lyrics That are Better Than the Real Thing

I've always heard the last line of the first verse as "breath in the CFC's, we're in this together." I've always thought that this made quite a bit of sense within the context of the song, as well as provided an undercurrent though the rest of the song that the lovers are a couple addicted on inhalants (yes, I'm aware of the factual inaccuracy, but artistic license and all that) and that they are on a spiral of destruction. The song could even be expanded to include all of humanity as an environmental message. So, I decided to look up the actual lyrics.

"Breath in the sea of seas."

What the hell? Seriously? That doesn't even make sense. It completely eradicates several shades of meaning. I prefer my hearing of the lyrics better.

Also, to pre-empt, "'Scuse me, while I kiss this guy."

Can we post the song and actual lyric, as well?

I will make it go away!!!
Can't be here no more...
Seems this is the only way!!!
I want to be GOD!!! </Korn>

"You want taco?"

from As I Lay Me Down

Still have no clue what they were saying, but as a kid with my brother, we heard "You want taco?"

Also, for the longest time I thought the Bad Religion song Sanity went "Insanity is a full time job, in a world that is always changing" instead of "And sanity"....it actually still made sense to me.:lol

"Viva la Vida" from Coldplay

"Roman cavalry choirs are singing"

I always thought it was "Roman Catholic choirs are singing"

When Coheed and Cambria's "Welcome Home" was first released as a single, my wife though that this series of lines was something completely different:

Well if you're just as I presumed
A whore in sheep's clothing
Fucking up all I do
And if so here we stop
Then never again
Will you see this in your life

She thought that it said:

Well if you're just as I presumed
A whore in sheep's clothing
Fucking Apple of Doom
And if so here we stop
Then never again
Will you see this in your life

It wasn't until much later I realized how cool this would be -- Adam and Eve. Alas, Claudio was just going with some normal angst on that part.

The Mars Volta - Conjugal Burns

I've got a penis that'll rip through the very fabric of time

is actually

I've got a pain inside that'll rip through the very fabric of time

And I'm here to remind you
Of the mess you left when you went away
It's not fair to deny me
Of the cross-eyed bear that you gave to me
You, you, you oughta know

Me and my brothers thought it was "I like tacos."

"Heaven let your light shine down" was "Cadillac Nightstand".

Whoa, that song literally just popped up on my iTunes as I was reading this. Are you pre-emptively stalking me?

I was listening to Belle & Sebastien's "Me and The Major" the other day, and I heard one of the lines as "Me and the midget don't see eye to eye on a number of things".
