Uh, actually, the disparity between the scans and those shots is pretty big I'd say. However, those shots are old and the scans are crappy (JEEZ, are they ever... pre 2000 crappy), so it's probably best to wait.

Well even the title has "dragon" (what a coincidence...) in it and Toriyama does the art, but who knows maybe we will see in the future something like Chrono World / Time Travelers whatever ....

Looks amazing to me!

Even though it has the classic Toriyama art style no other game looks quite like this. I think global illumination makes the game come alive like no other. I am very happy with these shots, look like the characters are really expressive as well!

I'm a huge JRPG fan...or used to be. I'm having trouble finishing them lately. But I really like the designs of this game. If it turns out great, unlike the middling Enchant Arms, I'm game.

Enchant Arms is the Quest 64 for the 360. It will sell well because when you are starving everything tastes like gravy.

I meant starving for 360 RPGs. Since you apparently own a PS2 and are playing Xenosaga, you get a free pass. But anyone that doesn't play better JRPGs on the PS2, or doesn't own one and is an exclusive Xboxer, will see this as the second coming of Jesus...even though there are dozens of other JRPGs that do it much better. I call it bloated praise for an unworthy, derivative game.

But yeah, some people just like to oggle the HD. I don't like these people.

But holy damn do those scans look SWEET. I love those ropes of hair. And the character designs really seem to come to life in 3D. More impressive than the gorgeous lighting and textures or whatever (which you can barely discern in the scans) is just how emotive the characters are.

This is probably over a week old, but people only started to notice now. The 30th Aug diary update has Uematsu stating that the music part of the game has been completed. So I guess there's still hope for a 2006 release! :lol
