hey guys, quick question.

do any of you own any of that Tapout gear? I'm thinking of getting a couple shirts (they're running a deal on their site where you buy $50 and you get a free pair of shorts and free shipping) but I noticed some of their tees have the description that it's a slim fit. i'm not that slim :lol

are all the shirts with that real slim cut or are most of those tapout shirts just a normal tshirt cut? anyone know?

diaz is always exciting to watch. he just couldnt ever drop the hammer when it came to big time fights and the ufc and him never got along it seemed. im sure its more personal than performance that he isnt in there still.

completely forgot about this tonight so im putting in my picks now lol, andrei by ko and jake sheilds by sub for the win.
I don't know of a beef between Diaz and the UFC. They cut him after he lost 5 in a row iirc.

He was on a 2 fight win streak when he was cut with wins over Josh Neer and Gleison Tibau.

i wish i had picked brett, i just dont know what to think of andrei right now. i have a hard time believing that he really does suck, or that he trains with a bad camp, but man, he cant seem to get a break. i also dont think it was an early stoppage- if it had went on he would have gotten a few more blows to his head and he was certainly not defending. its insane that rogers trains at a pretty much no name school where he is the biggest name there- im sure its hard to leave your home, but if he can get into a bigger gym and train with some bigger names.... i dunno..... should the fact that he won training at a small school basically say that you dont have to train at a well known gym to be successful (ala evan tanner).

diaz doesnt really have a legit 'beef' with the UFC- after all, his bro fights in there and he is in his corner during shows. he just left to fight in pride and fight gomi, and i think that still kinda burned some of his bridges with dana and company. i think everyone has grown out of his now though, joe will mention nick during his pbp so its not to off limits.

impressive sub, finishing an arm in guillotine is really tough and you have to have that shit in tight to get it done. i am just glad that jake went for it and didnt let go instead of just never even attempting a submission like so many other fighters do. i get really frustrated watching fighters not attempt simple submissions because they would rather try to stand and brawl. for comparisons sake, joe riggs had a ton of opportunities to finish phoney baroni with a good guillotine but just never went for it. i suppose it is hard to commit to it sometimes, especially if you are tired, but when you have the choke in tight and you feel your hand under their jaw, you know you have it.

AA getting KOed

The Diaz brothers are really, really good. Nice coming out party for Brett Rogers. Can't wait for Fedor vs. Barnett. Also, I really like the ref cam and compubox numbers. Wish the UFC would adopt those features.

most of the shirts are a little on the smaller side in general, so they tend to fit more snug than regular shirts. same goes with most of the other fight company shirts.

make some quick picks!

Mike Thomas Brown (No. 1 FW, No. 8 PFP) vs. Urijah Faber (No. 2 FW)
Jose Aldo (No. 7 FW) vs. Cub Swanson
Donald Cerrone vs. James Krause
Jens Pulver vs. Josh Grispi
Manny Gamburyan vs. John Franchi

jens really needs to hang it up. sad to see him fighting acttually and even worse hearing him talk.

im taking jose aldo by sub
and mike brown by decision

I knew Arlovski was going to get knocked out.
He wasn't taking this fight seriously.. and he has no chin to speak of.

Anyone got a good Stream, MMATV isn't broadcasting on SopCast and the channel I'm watching isn't the greatest.

put a fork in him, he's done, he needs to retire, he cant hang at 145 or 155

Yeah, and not sure he is well-spoken enough to do TV. Hopefully he owns a gym or something.

aldo is a beast

give him a title shot at faber or brown provided who wins tonight, he looks like the future of the division

i'm picking brown to beat faber via tko again btw

Jesus! That knee was sick. It came so quick that the ref didn't think to stop the fight, could have been five seconds really.

I almost want to see Faber get his ass kicked just because of that hair. What in the hell is going on there with the cornrow mullet?

First round was great. Faber is leaving himself open to the kind of hit that took him out in the first fight, I thought he would have been a bit more cautious. That sure as hell isn't the case though!

I was thinking the same.
I wonder what would happen if Faber threw a couple straights as Brown is expected looping and quick shots...

faber is just getting outmuscled, think kenflo brought up a good point, looks like faber's right hand might be broken, he stopped throwing them

Faber was dead on his feet after round three, let's see if he has much left in him. So far I'd say Brown's taken all three, looking good for the champ.
