Isn't Frank Mir a friend of Cerrone's? He called it for him the whole fight, it was odd. Though I do think it was close.
UFC 104 Prelims Bader-Schafer, Hardonk-Barry to Air on Spike TV

A light heavyweight bout between Ryan Bader and Eric Schafer and a heavyweight tilt featuring Antoni Hardonk against Pat Parry will be televised live Oct. 24 on Spike TV prior to the UFC 104 pay-per-view, the cable network announced Monday.
The UFC 104 preliminary bouts will air beginning at 9 p.m. EST/PST, one hour before the pay-per-view starts at 10 p.m. EST.
Spike TV aired a selection of live and taped preliminary bouts from UFC 103 on Sept. 19, which drew 1.4 million viewers and placed second in its Male 18-34 timeslot, according to the network.
The undefeated Bader was the winner of The Ultimate Fighter 8 and took a unanimous decision over Carmelo Marrero at UFC Fight Night 18 last April. Schafer is enjoying a four-fight win streak, which includes a first-round technical knockout over Antonio Mendes at UFC 93 last January.
Dutch kickboxer Hardonk, whos 4-3 in the Octagon, will look to rebound from a first-round defeat against Cheick Kongo at UFC 97 last April. Barry was submitted by Tim Hague at UFC 98 last May, his first loss in five career fights.
Other bouts from UFC 104 could also air on the cable network depending on time constraints, according to the Spike TV release.

While I never liked the drama being the focus of the show, I would have to assume that is why it has taken a backseat to the fighting, is all the fighters are so damn boring that nothing happens...Ninja Scooter said:Even the house drama sucks this year.

Enosh said:just wondering, I have never been big on sport (well I do like to play it, but not watch it), but watching some UFC it seems quite fun even to just watch it althrough I have no idea what the fuck is going on, what are the rules etc![]()
is there any good page/article/something for people new to UFC/MMA to give me a general idea of the rules, whats going on in a fight etc
thanks for the help^^
Daigoro said:the more you watch the more you learn. good announcers help too. if you have Spike and VS you have tons of free MMA on all week long so get to watchin'!
i learned the ground game by doing jiu jitsu so i have a pretty good idea what i am seeing there. even after watching the sport for several years now, however, i still dont feel like i can appreciate a lot of the nuances of stand up. anybody can say things like 'keep your hands up' and stuff like that, but picking up details like footwork, a guys timing with his strikes, those are things that 1) are hard to appreciate and 2) are often times not present in the first place.Enosh said:nah I am not american, i watch this through... other means^^

OptimoPeach said:Where are you getting this? Last I heard, his manager denied any contract in the works with Strikeforce, and that potential negotiations with any organization are on hold until Henderson gets back from a hunting trip
He could rule Strikeforce at 205 or 185 imo. I don't see Shields taking him down and I think he could GnP Mousasi.Ninja Scooter said:Hendo's one of my favorites so I would hate to see him leave UFC, but he's probably got a better shot at a title in SF than UFC at 185, so best to him. It'd be cool to see him have a title one last time before he calls it quits.

He pulled out the GnP for Anderson in the first round. If he ever fights Mousasi he will take him down.yacobod said:when's the last time Hendo has tried to use GNP in a fight? hendo likes to bang and he loads up his right hand in most fights, the only time he works for take downs is if the guy he is fighting is a superior striker
i think a fight with Mousasi would be pretty entertaining, mousasi is relatively untested against top tier talent, so a fight with hendo would be a big step up for him, a win vs hendo would make him ufc bound
someone needs to make an official thread for the upcoming Shogun/Machida ppv
