I knew a guy exactly like this. In fact, I lived with him (and a couple of other guys) for two months while we both worked out of town last year. Great times.

the kimbo and houston fight was a joke, wonder if the ufc is going to keep feeding kimbo relative cans to keep their cash cow afloat or will they match him up with someone better

nice to see big country fried steak get the W tonight, should have some interesting fights at hw for him in the ufc, i still think shaub has potential tho, that punch that ko'd him was behind the ear, which typically ko's guys

frankie edgar looked pretty good in his fight

bones jones really battered hamill with that gnp, i think a no contest would have been more appropriate then giving hamill the win, but i think bones jones proved tonight that he should be fighting top 10 comp at 205, will be nice to see him matched up with somebody better for his next fight
 
UFC if going straight to hell. Jones is the last interesting fighter in the UFC and he got owned on by bad refereeing. That fight was over a minute before the illegal hits. Only reason he got DQed instead of points taken away was because the dude was already out.

Only highlight was Nelson aka Bob getting a nice knockout and coming out to Fat by Weird Al.

Not only that but I'm pretty certain that this is like the third time in the past year that Mazzagatti has fucked up a pretty interesting fight and just ruined it. I know he 'ruined' Lesnar vs Mir 1, and he also jacked up some fight a few months back as well

Add in this one... I don't know how the guy gets sanctioned.

Anyways, Bones was awesome. I was shocked at how he reacted after the fight. The way he carried himself after being given the DQ showed me that he's very mature for his age and I'm looking for very exciting things from him in the future.

I just don't see how you can go from a 1 point deduction, to a fight stoppage, to Hammill quitting, to a DQ. Shouldn't the DQ be from something that actually happened in the fight, and not something that was only determined to be bad from after the fact? Really shady imo.

Anyways, I still think Roy Nelson sucks and will get fucking raped by any of the real contenders for the HW title. His little pussy bitchfit at the end of his fight, the whole, "No no no, i'm fat kimbo is awesome" thing just pissed me off, too.
 
The other fight Mazzagatti fucked up on was Velasquez vs. Rothwell at UFC 104. Ben Rothwell was getting up when Steve called the fight.

And yeah, Roy is a snarky asshole. Fuck him. I want to see Cro Cop kick his head off.
 
The K-1 Grandprix was off the chain. Thanks for mentioning it was on. That Overeem guy is huge but definitely not a great kick boxer (currently). I felt sorry for Hari (sp), as he was seriously battling a major height/reach disadvantage.

Kimbo's fight was terrible. He just didn't seem like he knew what he was doing. He had an opportunity to choke his opponent and didn't. He had no clue how to press the advantage or to deal with the incessant circling around during round one. He'll get dismantled by just about any competent UFC fighter.

And as a servicemember, that one guy is an embarrassment. If I was the Army, I'm sure they could've dug out a MMA fighter in better condition and used him as a recruitment tool. Bobbly Lashley used to be a soldier.

kimbo is just learning how to fight in the ufc. this is what his second ufc fight counting the one earlier in TUF. He just needs to continue improving his ground game and explosiveness, workout his legs more, and he will be a beast. He looked good tonight in my eyes.

also example #5,765,548 of why it's not such a great idea to bet on sports and particularly combat sports. most can blow it off like meh w/e effectively a win great performance but different story if you had money on the fight and did make by all reasonable accounts the right pick
 
decent night, WAR Big Country! had him winning since they first announced him on the show.

i'm glad Big Baby got KTFO, and glad Kimbo pulled out a win i'm sure that's the last we'll be seeing of Houston too.

Shame about the Jones/Hamill fight though, both fighters didn't seemed bothered by it so i'm sure we'll see a rematch or the decision overturned to a NC.

Can't believe that Roy Nelson was about to pull yet another crucifix at one point. Nice finish however.

As for the Jones fight, well... it was clearly a move against the rules, he used it more than once so it wasn't just accidental, and it clearly fucked.Hamill.up. Can't really argue against the DQ itself. Jones should have just kept going with clean elbows and GnP, he would have finished it. Hell, Hamill's shoulder was fucked! This DQ won't set Jon Jones back I think. He destroyed Hamill regardless.
 
It's a shame what happened in the Jones/Hamill fight and it looks like Mazigatti is going to get more heat, but I think the DQ was the right call. The rules suck, but rules are rules. Also there's an interesting note that just came out on that call, it was the first time that they've used instant replay to make a decision.

Nevada State Athletic Director Keith Kizer just informed MMAjunkie.com that the disqualification result was the first-ever use of instant replay in the commission's history. After halting the bout, Mazzagatti asked for the replay to determine whether the illegal blows contributed to the ending of the fight. When replays showed that the elbows scored directly to the eye, the disqualification result was issued. Because the illegal blows landed as part of the sequence that ended the fight, the ruling was made.

HOLY SHIT, Peter Aerts was in a good shape!!! to bad Bonyanski did the fight. i wanted to see Aerts in his place.

Badr hari will be the next Champ. Overeem is huge, but it´s horrible to see him fight. he´is a freak.
 
Just finished watching, some good and not so good stuff. Plenty of stoppages which is always good. Kimbo fight after the first round bullshit was alright, he probably got a year or 2 left in him if that though imo.

YEAH! Roy Nelson did it! I'm glad he shutted up all his annoying motherfucking ass haters when he KTFO'd Brendan. He's the most unlikable TUF winner my ass and I saw him winning the whole show from a mile away but of course not by actually Hendo's Schaub. Just whoa.

Exactly. I wanted to see Vitor Belfort Vs Nate Marquardt. I would have loved to see Greg Jackson come in for two seasons in a row and of course Xtreme Couture is a great camp too. And then seeing Vitor murder Nate after all of the waiting would be perfect. :lol
