If they had a network deal, would they still fill it with C list fights? Even the decent free cards tend to have a certain sort of headliner, even if they're fighters I respect.

The event was boring. Zzzzzzzzzzzz.

The Hamill vs Jardine was ok.

Not a great event, but it wasn't that bad.

Glad Siver and Leben got the Win.

Always rooting for Hamill and he had a good showing, and peace out to Keith Jardine, 4 in a row, you gotta go.

Both Tuffers did good glad Court won, but both guys seem like food guys and both deserved to be where they were.

WEC card tomorrow too

Varner vs. Shalorous 6pm PST on VS.

Should be a great card, glad Josh Grispi is coming back!

EDIT: Also anyone who perpetuates the myth that Herb Dean is a good referee after that deduction on Jardine should get their head checked.
 
Hopefully Varner gets another shot at Henderson so we have another opportunity to hear him cry on the mic about pussy grapplers after he gets choked out again
 
eh, don't think we really need a thread for it, kind of a smaller card, we didn't have one for the TUF Finale last night. should be just fine in here.

they did a horrible job of advertising the card though, not many people know about it.
 
McSweeney looked horrid.

I bet the WEC card is a lot better than TUF.

Also, that gross mark on Hamill's back last night was staph :( I can't believe they let him fight. I hope Jardine was at least informed.

Are you serious? Holy crap... that sucks for Jardine.

Antonitto looked good last night, too. Yager is a joke-- great athlete but you can see him turn it off and just wish he could run away and hide every fight after he gets his first tag in the face. Richy Antonitto only had to hit him once in the face and it became a completely different fight than the first 4 minutes of the 1st round.


Good to see McGee win, also. I really only watched the card for the TUFfers so I wasn't too disappointed.

It's a pretty poor card to boot.

I mean it's the first Zuffa big MMA card to hit my city and I couldn't convince any of my MMA watching friends to go. Nobody wants to pay money to watch Jamie fucking Varner.

Hopefully Jardine baths in fire to get that shit off. Fighting with a giant open Staph sore is gross, and it's crazy that the commissioner let that happen.

Gross. I was wondering what the fuck that was. It was hurting my back just looking at it cause I thought it was bone splint or something.

Mir was fired for the comments he made in his last fight (something about hoping Lesnar is the first in cage death or something).

Looks like Florian, man he had to fly here from wherever they did TUF (Vegas?) and do another gig? Crazy. Between this stuff and his ESPN stuff I wonder how much actual training he is getting in for his upcoming fight with Maynard.
 
Not just Jardine, that also puts the two finalists in danger of getting an infection. They fought after Jardine/Hamill and it isn't exactly like the mat gets a thorough cleaning.
 
Oh yea, they got rid of their shitty announcer too. He refused to be WEC "exclusive" and kept doing Boxing cards so they canned him.

Kinda crappy but I hated his "ready pounds" ass.

It is safe to say that with the athletic commission running it, and with UFC not being Uncle Bob's Fried Chicken and MMA Fighting shack that all fighters knew ahead of time and agreed to it.

You look out for your employees, something UFC doesn't do. Jardine probably didn't have much of choice, he worked a long training camp and that 10 grand he would earn for the fight means a lot.
