Prangly had that 2 rounds to 1, not sure what you guys are on about.

Jardine has now lost 5 in a row, with this loss coming to a 185 pounder. :lol

Time to hang em up techno viking.

At least Glass Jawdine didn't get KOd this time.

I just got around to watching MFC26 from Friday. Acevedo had one of the worst cuts I've ever seen. That thing leaked like someone putting a pin in the bottom of a bag of water.

http://www.mmafighting.com/2010/09/12/shark-fights-13-the-don-frye-experience/

Here now, the Top 20 highlights of Saturday's Shark Fights 13 pay-per-view broadcast, courtesy of the inimitable Don Frye.*

20. To Rutten: "I know you love me, dontcha sweetheart?"

19. On Danillo Villefort: "How old is that boy?"

18. When Kruck mistakenly called Frye "Bas": "No, I'm Don. Bas is the ugly guy with no hair."

17. On Johnny Rees Rees and Paul Bradley both wearing red trunks: "I'll take the white guy in the red shorts."

16. On the staredown between Rees and Bradley: "Like a couple of tribal Vikings out there. Blond hair, blue eyes ..."

15. To Kruck and Rutten at the end of the night: "Great to be here with you ladies."

14. On referee Kerry Hatley stepping in front of the camera angle: "Get Kerry's ass out of the way and we can see the fight."

13. On the difficulty of finding an MMA fight in France: "I didn't know France was ever in a fight. ... I heard Italy just declared war on Spain, and France surrendered."

12. On Alexander after he survived a barrage from Sokoudjou in Round 1: "He's still a little wobbly on his feet, ya know? Either that or he's got good rhythm."

11. On Bradley: "He's built like a brick s**thouse, ain't he?"

10. On something we're still trying to figure out: "Skin like a mule's ass."

9. On Brock Larson's unanimous decision loss and Frye's continued theory he may have been ill: "I'd like to hear if something was wrong with him tomorrow (instead of right after the fight). You don't want the Tito Ortiz list of excuses here. No one respects that."

8. On a promo spot for a charity for U.S. troops on the ninth anniversary of 9/11: "Get out your wallets, ya cheap bastards, and give 'em some money."

7. After the fights, while straight man/babysitter Kruck was still on his way back to the broadcast table from a post-fight interview with Trevor Prangley: "That was like two hours of rough, hard sex. I need a cigarette and a tequila now."

6. On Keith Jardine's stance: "He's so awkward. He's like a rabid octopus. He looks like he's about to fall over at any time." Fortunately, Kruck didn't point out to him that an octopus, as a cold-blooded animal, cannot get rabies.

5. Obviously no stranger to viral video sensation "Double Rainbow Guy," during a particularly memorable exchange with Rutten: "Double rainbow! Triple rainbow! Double secret probation! ... No, no, no, it's gonna go into triple double overtime!" Kruck saved the day by reminding the viewers, and Frye, "There is no overtime in Shark Fights."

4. During a discussion with Rutten over their records: "I started counting fights when I'd come home drunk and knock my old lady around," to which Kruck, ever the straight-man, quickly covered for him by saying, "I bet she's got a few wins over you, too."

3. On his background as a wrestler: "Look at me: I'm a wrestler. My balls are so big, I wear the excess on my hat."

2. On cauliflower ear: "This guy's tough. His ears are like potatoes. Looks like he got stuck in the birth canal, had to beat him out with a stick."

1. On the preliminary card fights: "That was like prison sex: hard, sweaty, violent and there was a lot of noise."

ya i actually watched a stream of shark fights with my brother saturday night, card was pretty fun mostly due to the awesome Don Frye/Bas commentary

man soku has to have the worst gas tank out there (next to shane carwin), he raped alexander in the first, and then was so gassed that he got destroyed in the 2nd round, was a total repeat of brock lesnar/shane carwin

jardine needs to get into acting or something cuz he lost again, dude got rocked 3 or 4 times by prangley ffs, for a guy on a 4 fight losing skid, he didnt really do shit until the end of rd 3

very disappointed in daley's performance, him winning 30-27 on one scorecard was questionable

suprised joey villasenor was handled that easily by villefort

Why is this great? Hughes and BJ have no chance fighting GSP at WW. This fight won't answer any questions. The only thing it can prove is that BJ isn't a good fit to fight at WW.

It's a chance to watch BJ get his ass kicked again. I'll take any opportunity to watch that when presented with it.

Penn vs. Hughes 3 at 170 lbs = meh

This just means BJ is gonna let himself go and get fat again. fuck.

I want to see the BJ that is pushed hard by Marv Marinovich to train like a fucking animal and destroy people. The way he OBLITERATED Florian and Sanchez was EPIC. Unfortunately he didn't train hard at all for either Edgar fight, he even said that his preparation for the 2nd fight consisted of lots of resting. FUCK, BJ Penn pisses me off sometimes with his lack of motivation. I was hoping we'd see BJ fight Clay Guida as a comeback fight and then fight Gomi if Gomi wins his next one.

Welp, guess Cheeseburger BJ is back :(

fuck.

One cool thing to look forward to in the 155 division though is a possible matchup between Clay Guida and Takanori Gomi. Can you say epic?

did he ever say why he got rid of marinovich? hard to argue with the results

Even if it kills Strikeforce too, I want to see Barnett vs Fedor.

If Soukodju doesn't get fed some amazing cans soon his record isn't going to support him getting his ass kicked in awesome fashion.

They should have put Penn vs Hughes on the CroCop vs Mir card and called it the old dreams die hard tour.

I didn't realise he got rid of him. When did this happen?

After Sanchez he went back to "training" full time in Hawaii. He doesn't like people that push him, he needs to surround himself with a bunch of sycophantic yes men.

sinatar who is his crappy cornerman i forget. the "this little piece of shit doesn't even belong in the cage with you!" guy

who else forgot that UFN 22 is tomorrow? UFN brand :lol

there are actually a lot of fairly interesting fights on there too imo, including the ME

Eh, I like Fight Night, but this card is so uninteresting to me. The only reason to watch is possible drama if Palhares holds a submission for too long.

these are the dudes i'm interested in seeing fight (incl prelims which i won't see but w/e)
Nate Marquardt
Rousimar Palhares
Charles Oliveira
Ross Pearson
Tomasz Drwal

Not too bad for a UFN.

Oh I remembered.

Either this dude is taking Nate's leg as a trophy or Nate will destroy him. Can't wait.

Also hyped to see Oliveira again.

is that a picture of anthony perosh? wtf

if paul harris doesnt get a sub in the first 2 minutes of the fight hes going to lose, he's not built to win at 185, dude's upperbody is way too big up top to sustain thru a fight

Yeah that's Perosh. And he's fighting Fir.

You were saying...

I like Marquardt, I'm glad he's the headliner that's a decent fight.

Speaking of cards, 123 is looking pretty nice. Anyone here think Rampage is going to win?

Maybe, be cool to see him just pick up Machida and slam him.

Sotoropolis is fighting as well so count me in.
