Not going to say that was an inappropriate stoppage, he'd already been dropped three times. But it was a TERRIBLE stoppage. The ref came in way too late if he wanted to stop the fight there, even ignoring the bullshit where he wandered away to check his voicemail instead of staying with Roop.

Get that ref out of here, and never let him back again. He'll do serious damage if he's allowed to continue.

Haha...

To quote Pristine however: This IS the UFC.

Is he trolling the troops?

The way Mittrione tells it he was begging his manager to get him some advertising for his shorts, his manager was ignoring him and then Mittrione's wife started getting on the manager's case and the manager basically told her to fuck off. So Mittrione made his own deal with some company and got his own advertising for his shorts but in doing so got a lot less money than he could have.
Ah gotcha thanks...

Any chance they show the Brown fight? Prolly not eh...

Doubtful. On free shows they usually pad extra time with commercials instead of prelim fights, and the Brown fight wasn't really any good to begin with. If they show any fight from the prelims I'd have to assume it would be McKenzie/Edwards but I don't think even that will happen.

people are way too quick to jump on the Aldo bandwagon... The lighter weightclasses are a gamblers playground right now.

Torres was considered top p4p too

wow Chael shamed Silva into working on his English

Except for that second answer...the fuck was that? Did they dub over an answer in English or did he slip into Portuguese for one answer? Also couldn't they get a translator who knew Vitor's name wasn't Victor?

Holminick is a good technical fighter with power but Aldo's on whole other level. Only way dominic can win is if Aldo's not 100%--heard aldo has a dehabilitating disease from his back.

Chances of Anderson pissing off Dana on Feb 5th? Forecast says very high chance of hail.

Silva still refuses to learn some competent English. I can't hate the guy for that though.

Double edge sword what they're showing. We treat our troops like crap especially the veterans (I've dealt with countless vets in my day job and my business partner is a Iraq Vet). Military Veteran services needs some serious reform.

The last time i saw him was against Kimbo.
He looks like a different fighter, his footwork was pretty neat.

My buddy and 80 percent of his unit continue to suffer from PTSD and less then half of them have gotten benefits. During the Bush years they wouldn't give any of them benefits because the Navy doctors were told by the bureaucrats not to diagnose troops with PTSD even if they showed all signs of having it. That's not even the tip of the iceberg.

I'm about to call that number after Matts speech. I help disabled vets find jobs every week but this is something else entirely.

Damn. Just noticed Hominick, Roop, Jose Aldo, and Matt Mitrione are all trending topics on Twitter. It's a shame "I hope you cunts in Congress are watching this man with two purple hearts beg sports fans for money" isn't on there too.

There is a reason they hardly give benefits for PTSD. It is really easy to fake because the symptoms. Working at the VA has opened my eyes to the amount of people that try and get over the system.

Man, I can't even fathom how that could happen.

Yeah, there was a guy that moved into my building that was on disability from Iraq. Could never figure out what was wrong with him, because he was in the gym all the time. Later, he disappeared. I found out from his brother, who was moving his shit out of his loft, that he was working a fraud, and he got caught by some investigators and thrown in the joint.

Pretty disgusting, considering there are so many guys that could use the help and resources that some scammers are taking away.

Not to get too far off subject and I know there are those who will try to fake it but I've met with a lot of veterans over the past 2 years and the majority of them who do indeed have PTSD are very ashamed of that fact.

I've witnessed my friend wake up in cold sweats screaming and then sobbing like a baby over things he says are burned into his retinas. He goes through constant depression and even considers suicide because he's afraid of hurting his wife and children when he's in that frame of mind. I'm more talking about people who are treated for PTSD by doctors but not legally diagnosed with it by the military.

A good majority of veterans who have seen combat will most likely suffer some form of PTSD due to the polarizing differences between our society and real war. Most of the people I talk to say the same thing. "Nothing could have prepared me for what I went through over there." Speaking of those who actually saw combat in Iraq.

THAT was an ass whoopin.
