So when is it airing? The first undercard fight is at 2:45pm, and by the time they get to the main card it will be 7:00pm or so, right? So why the hell can't Spike just air it then? Do they want people in the Northwest to watch the fight at home after getting back from the fight at Key Arena? It's ridiculous that they are letting reruns of UFC Unleashed take precedence over a live UFC fight.

if we start talking about the "UFC Universe" im going to Bisping myself.

i was half joking, but the ufc has a lot more in common with the WWF than it does with the other major sports in the US.

I would love to disagree with that, but that would be denying reality. The pro wrestling promotional antics outside the ring are a driving force behind the UFC.

Man, Jon Jones got that charisma and personality to set the mainstream world on fire. Great appearance on Leno last night.
Agreed. He did good.

Just in case people don't know, Bones is the first MMA fighter to be on a tonight show.

I'm picking Little Nog to win tonight.

Davis is probably a better wrestler than Bader, but Bader is better at pretty much everything else and still barely beat him.

Got our tickets for Strikeforce next month, we got an entire row and three seats in the row behind. Twelve tickets in total. Any word on whether they will use an octogon? Buffer? Goldberg and Rogan?

Though UFC 128 supposedly had fewer PPV buys than either of the last two cards Shogun headlined (one of them had Kimbo on it, but still).

...and thus doubling the total ticket sales for Strikeforce: Daley vs Diaz. Zuffa thanks you!

Business as usual! As long as Strikeforce is with Showtime, I don't think we'll see many production changes...certainly nothing of that scale. You wouldn't want to lose the ramp, would you!?

Luckily the card has a few alibis for it not selling well (WEC co-headliner..Shogun not being an established star and dumbfucks just not knowing who Jones is) If he fights Rashad and that doesn't sell over 800k..well, then I don't know what's wrong with people. Maybe he should fight Forrest!

Tito and Rampage have both been on it.

Fedor is training outside of Russia for the first time in 6 years
"This Sunday I'll fly out to Holland to have a two-week training camp. Then, I'll return back home to Stary Oskol to continue my preparations. I'm going to fight this summer. I still don't know who will be my opponent, but it's something currently in works. I didn't train abroad since 2005. We have a really good relationship with Muay Thai coaches in Holland, so I'm really looking forward to this training camp."

I think it's a hexagon now with all the usual Strikeforce announcers.

The Voice vs Wanderlei is on HDNET right now. Hard to understood Wandy but the interview is interesting.

Also, Titan Fights tonight w/ Bobby Lashley, Abe Wagner, and Phil Baroni

FUCK YES @ Takaya, hope he knocks this dude the fuck out.

As for Strikeforce in San Diego, it'll be Business As Usual. Hexagonal Cage, Mauro, Frank and possibly Gus emceeing the event (you can actually hear them talk between fights in the arena unlike the UFC) and the ultra-annoying Jimmy Lennon, Jr. announcing.

Seriously? You can hear the commentary live? That's gotta be a weird experience.

Not during the fights, just between them. I kinda liked it, it made me feel like I was getting more of a full presentation rather than a video promo starting right out of the blue to introduce the fight. But yeah when I went to the LA one they did that. It was pretty cool and it's something I'd like to see the UFC do.

Oh and apparently KJ Noons got into a fight with some club bouncers and got arrested which may mean he can't participate on the card.

Oh and nobody should be watching or DVRing the M-1 show tonight. Those snakes are a cancer to MMA and their business practices pretty much killed PRIDE and every other org they have dealt with. Their constant renegotiating for more and more money and perks in Fedor's contract even though they already had a contract is the only reason this M-1 show on Showtime exists. It's also probably one of the reasons that Strikeforce wasn't as profitable as it could have been. They also fucked up Fedor's legacy having him lose to a couple tough fighters on Showtime where he should have been in bigger money fights on PPV in the UFC.

There are honestly some interesting matchups on the card but I won't be watching.

tl;dr: FUCK THESE GUYS.

+1

Watch "Titan FC" instead. War NYBA. :(

agreed really fun interview. Luckily DTV had subtitles available.

You guys talking shit about Einemo might be setting yourself up for a big surprise. Dude is no chump. He's not been active, but that doesn't mean he's not talented. He's been in the gyms, doing the work too.

Einemo is an elite-level HW grappler. Long frame. Good tactical striker on the feet with a nice right hand too.

This could be one of those matchups that makes Carwin look bad. Everyone will be expecting Carwin to roll this guy up, since he hasn't fought for so long, but it won't be that easy. Einemo has nothing to lose here, so as long as he doesn't get KOd easily in the first round, he wins, even if he loses. Carwin will not want to follow this guy to the ground at all. He has to KO him on the feet.

I got the opportunity to meet and spar with rumble. Nicest and chillest guy I've ever talked too. But hes a beast, like I don't understand how he cuts that weight. Actually I don't know if it was a good opportunity because it was the first time i felt like i almost got knocked out with a jab.
