Over the weekend, I saw the first three minutes of 'Death Warrior'. A 2009 MMA/death fight straight-to-DVD movie 'starring' Keith Jardine, Rampage, Evans, GSP and... Mauro Ranallo.

It may be, without exaggeration, the worst movie I have ever seen in my life.

And Rampage is hardcore-fat in it too. Not even UFC prefight 'trainers teasing Page about being fat' fat. He was U-S-A! U-S-A! fat.

Such a shit stain on MMA. I think it set our sport back a few years.

Any good MMA movies to clean my eyes with?

Choke and The Smashing Machine are meant to be pretty good documentaries.
Didn't know there was another Choke beyond Sam Rockwell's cult disappointment :P

Will check out both, thanks.

Yeah those two are far and away the best. Anyone reading who hasn't seen them...GO WATCH! Honorable mention to Renzo Gracie Legacy.

Don't MMA movies betray much of the appeal of a real fight?

If I want pure theatrics, no one in the MMA has shit on Donnie Yen. ChefRamsay, I would recommend watching a good martial arts flick instead. Or whatever pro wrestling has to offer if that's your thing.

Anybody in the Philly area would want to buy a set of UFC133 tickets from me? I'm thinking about not going now since I heard some of the better guys aren't fighting in it anymore. Face value is like $250 each.

Tito's next to get injured, just watch.

Main Event ends up being Evans vs. Franklin.

It's the Rashad Evans curse.

Saw on tmz he crashed his car, seems he's okay though, couldn't of been driving too fast in the denny's carpark :palm:

Gerald Harris (got the boot after losing to Falcao) just got signed to a multi fight deal with Dream. Other than his loss to Falcao I thought he was a pretty fun fighter and was on the rise so I'll be looking forward to seeing more of him.

A multi-fight deal for $0?

Australian Fighting Championship 2 is on September 3rd. Hector Lombard vs. Jesse Taylor title fight.

Call me crazy, but I can actually see Lombard losing this fight. Barring Shlemenko, Lombard has been can crushing for years.

Inside MMA is the best and the only relevant MMA news program imo. The rest of the "MMA" programs are not only poor quality, but have almost nothing to do with MMA apart from UFC. Yes I'm mostly thinking of you MMA Live, more like UFC Live.
Thanks, Inside MMA is the only one I know about though.
Dumb question but do they show MMA exhibitions in the show?

So, let's look at the last four cards Rashad Evans has been on:

7 injuries for UFC 98
10 injuries for UFC 108
2 injuries for UFC 114
7 injuries for UFC 133

THE DUDE IS FUCKING CURSED

Note that one of the injuries for 114 was Forrest Griffin who was in the co-main event, and in both 98 and 108 there were supposed to be different main events and Rashad Evans ended up in the main event due to some of the injuries. In the case of 108, THREE different main events were cancelled (Lesnar vs. Carwin, A. Silva vs. Belfort, Noguiera vs. Velasquez) before Evans vs. T. Silva ended up taking their place. Oh and of course there's the freak injury Evans himself had which caused him to pull out of UFC 128 just 2 weeks prior.

If Rashad Evans is in an upcoming UFC event and you're contemplating the purchase of tickets, don't do it, at least not right when the tickets go on sale.

It's no 136.
Frankie Edgar vs. Gray Maynard (for lightweight title)
Jose Aldo vs. Kenny Florian (for featherweight title)
Chael Sonnen vs. Brian Stann
Demian Maia vs. Jorge Santiago
Melvin Guillard vs. Joe Lauzon
Anthony Pettis vs. Jeremy Stephens
Joey Beltran vs. Stipe Miocic
Dave Herman vs. Mike Russow
Nick Catone vs. Aaron Simpson
Josh Grispi vs. Matt Grice
Two title fights then five more fights that could all headline a Fight Night.

An mma article on the front page of cnn.com! About women mma fighters no less. (unfortunately its about how they're probably going to disappear completely soon)

Bellator 47 gets the second highest rating in the history of the company (277,000 and 386,000 peak): http://mmajunkie.com/news/24564/bel...ond-best-mtv2-ratings-in-bellator-history.mma

Honestly I think these Bellator ratings are exhibit A for why the Nielsens are utterly useless. 40 (Askren vs. Thompson) supposedly had 218,000 viewers compared to 41's 132,000 viewers (Warren vs. Galvao). Bellator 40 was up against Diaz vs. Daley and 41 was unopposed I think. Makes no sense.

edit: Multi-fight UFC deal for Jeff Curran. Didn't see that coming.

Read that an event called Genesis is going to have a ppv with some UFC/TUF washouts: Jens Pulver, Jamie Yager, Houston Alexander, and ... wait for it ... Junie Browning!

Struve vs. Barry at UFC on Versus 6

“Verbal agreements are in for a titanic battle between Stefan ‘Skyscraper’ Struve and Pat ‘HD’ Barry October 1st on UFC Live On Versus,” said UFC president Dana White. At 6'11", Struve is the tallest fighter among UFC heavyweights, while Barry, a full foot shorter, clocks in as the division's shortest.

This is is some PRIDE-level freakiness!

War Machine's out of jail now, there's no reason not to get him too

Does Struve train with Golden Glory?
nope

No, but he did train with Daniel Ghita to prepare for Browne. Struve training with Schilt seems like a no-brainer...there's probably a roadblock we don't know about.

Ugh, Barry by easy KO.
If he can even reach his chin.

Struve would be good if he could keep people at distance but he lets them come in on em and thats a real problem for him since his chin is never tucked and is floating out there like a big red jolly candy like button.

when is ufc on vs 6? seems like it wasn't that long ago that kongo stole barry's soul. would think he would still be on medical suspension for getting his lights shut off like that.

Oct 1 I believe.

LOL

Maia made a video offering to teach Sonnen how to defend a triangle and Sonnen said on UFC Connected that he might take him up on that offer and thinks that Maia is great
