For those that saw the Strikeforce Challengers card last night - was Mazzagatti's call anything other than a fuck up? Coker says there should be no controversy because D'Alelio was about to be hurt. But my question is, if D'Alelio didn't tap and she wasn't hurt at the moment since when is it the ref's job to prognosticate what will happen? Maybe she could've popped out at the last second? I don't know maybe it was for the best that Mazzagatti stopped it when he did but it didn't sit right with me.
IMO it's a bit of a grey area. D'Alelio did let out a bit of a scream in agony and Ronda Rousey has had prior fights where she has been looked down upon for holding an arm bar for too long when her opponent was unable to get a hand free to tap. The refs are instructed to rule a submission when someone caught in a sub move is yelling in pain. But I think Mazz acted a bit too early. Also I just think he's a prick and will always question his judgement.

Can't find a lamp for MMA Fight Pit: Genesis...please don't die, Pulver.

Thanks forgot this was on. I'll always root for Pulver knowing his rough upbringing. His first trip to 135, too.

meh, Agbeko vs. Mares, the Boxing Bamtamweight Tournament Final is on Showtime right now.

Hey, it's a Showtime tournament that they delayed from its initial April date due to a fighter's injury.

Apparently Lytle is retiring after tomorrow's fight.

That's unfortunate but certainly understandable. Dude has been in the sport forever and has been in some serious wars, his body must be falling apart by now.

Sad to see him go. One of the most entertaining guys on the roster. Always comes to fight and quite underrated overall. Really hoping he comes out with a W to close his career. His record doesn't really reflect just how good he is.

The man responsible for these guys keeping their jobs.

I gotta admit I'm jealous of Keith. He sits ringside at every UFC and Strikeforce event and seemingly does nothing. That would be my dream job. The only thing better would to be Britney Palmer's chair.

Got to the end of the vid Big C looks slimmer for sure, got so "definition" in his arms.

lol'd at Hardy "see, that's what happens when Big Country does your fucking weight cut"

Uh, Jason Reinhardt is back in the UFC?

wow, a WARRIOR tattoo on his back, Vale Tudo on his chest, and Vanderlei's face on his shoulder. God I hate Reinhardt.

So Edwin thanked his lord and savior Jesus Christ for the win, yet Reinhardt was the one with the "God" tattoo and lost. Obviously it isn't straightforward as you'd think to get God to bless you with an MMA win.

Fresh batch of rumors/news from "hammers hamil" on The UG. Despite the horrible spelling etc., this guy has been dead on days/weeks ahead of anyone else on several news stories.

Its been awhile and im back... Allistar Overeem and Golden Glory management are back in zuffa's good graces and have been negoiating in good faith and have come to a deal with ufc for allistar overeem im told this will be announced very shortly with the possibility of reem making his debut at ufc 140 and if not The January new years show...

As for Brock Lesnar his medicals will be back this week and a decision on his status for ufc 140 will be determined.. Brock is on his last fight of his contract and has decided not to renegoiate a new contract with zuffa at this time... Zuffa want Brock Lesnar vs Frank Mir as there main event pending lesnars health but have softened there stance... With zuffa gageing public interests from reading varous mma related fourms and twitter bombing dana about the fight other options have been discused.... Like winner of nog schwab but nothing set in stone... Brock gets to pick his opponment for his return fight and all indications are He is going to choose frank mir... Mir expects this matchup...

With ufc 140 undercard completed there buying time to make a co main event and main event ... Co main event will be lyoto machida vs Franlin or bader and possibly davis... Zuffa dont want too book the davis fight and build him slowly but im told its also on the table but doubtful... Dan Henderson name is another possibility as talks have been good between both sides and henderson would take co main with machida for number one contender ... Dan has stated he wants time off but its a ploy for more bargining power... Co main and main event for ufc 140 will be announced within 2 weeks with tickets going on sale in 3 weeks as im told....

Meeting with showtime next week to discuss strikeforce extending there deal with sho sports... Strikeforce for the time being will not be dying there are plans like ive stated before to turn it into a regional feeder show and slowly expand out of there strong markets.. Zuffa was highly dissapointed with the strikeforce ratings for fedor vs henderson card as they expected alot more viewers....

Ufc is working on a multi network deal with fox and talks are still going on with spike tv... deal would be ufc doing 3 to 5 network specials in primetime on saturday nights while remaining on spike... there have been a few other networks showing interest and entering negoiations but zuffa has over priced there brand nothing finalized as zuffa entertaining offers but fox leading candadate....

zuffa looks to have gained barnett clearance for the next round of the tourny but his issues with nsac and csac will need to be addressed very shortly as strikeforce will not be catering for one fighter ive been told... The coker regeime are responsible for these issues and the inmates run the aslyum... Zuffa fighters will be going over to the strikeforce brand still and its being discussed this month has been the busiest month in zuffa history im told... Ufc is looking to expand to sweden and japan for 2012 and Zuffa will be expanding there canadian market place by going to alberta in 2012 also... Will post more info as i get it...

Forgot to mention Vitor Belfort has offered his services if needed for ufc 140 as Zuffa is lacking star power for the co and main events...

no talks of overeems first fight just yet... zuffa has already been negoiating with overeem and will spring it very shortly...

Lorenzo has been the one negoiating with overeem everybody presumes dana cause he is the figurehead of the company but lorenzo is more hands on now.... There have been several trolls that actually emailed zuffa about threads and presuring about my identity i wonder who that could be as Ive had some heat come down on me about some comments ive made...

Overeem deal is done putting the sigs to the contract and finding him a fight zuffa is just going to randomly surprise mma fans...just throwing off the scent ... And wording of the contract by gg lawyers and zuffa so should not say done but there are no snags yet...

there is nothing set in stone for reem yet plans are being discussed plus he has injuries... When i get more will post in this thread...

Maybe Fedor would actually become a draw if he really did grow out a red mohawk. Maybe he'd finally break 100k buys on PPV if he developed a personality.

Four events is kind of weak. I wish I could subscribe to FX and FX only as far as cable channels go since pretty much everything I watch will be on there now.

90 Million a fucking year from Fox (If I'm reading that right)...and yet some fighters on the card make 10k...most make 10-50k..

Fighters should at least get a pension or something fuck...

Yep, fighters get fucked out of so much money.

As someone who used to watch the UFC run out of actual tents, reading articles that call this a "move into the mainstream" kind of makes me laugh. Pristine knows what I mean.

That deal isn't good for the fans at all. Terrible deal.

Why isn't it good for fans? Or rather, why is it any worse than the current deal with Spike?

FOX is a broadcast network, so more people will be able to watch some UFC events. Plus jumping on broadcast probably means better free cards.

Plus the way the guy is talking, its like the UFC Fight Night and UFC on Versus type shows will be on FX, and Fox on its own is getting four major shows:

"From my understanding, the UFC would move four major events to the Fox network. They would move Versus/Spike shows to FX."

It's bad because it is only up to 4 events per year and FX doesn't have the production values and sports programming experience. Should have went to NBC and NBC Sports network. Prop them up, eat at ESPN's market share, make them humble.

Huh? First off, FOX shows the NFL and MLB. They don't have experience? Second, that doesn't even matter anyway because UFC has always and will always continue to use their own commentators, production, and presentation. Third, as I pasted earlier - the way the guy who wrote the article said he took it is the 4 events on FOX are in addition to the UFC on Versus and UFC Fight Night type programming that will move to FX. I really doubt there's going to be only 4 shows on FOX and nothing but recap shows on FX.

Yeah, UFC already refused to make deals that gave up production control. If anything it sounds like you'll be getting the same amount of free shows as before on FX, plus 4 for free that you would've had to pay for every year on Fox. Fine with me!

Which TV provider has the following?

Fox HD
FX HD
Fuel HD
HDNet

I have Comcast, no Fuel TV or HDNet. Time to jump ship if I won't be needing Versus anymore.

What the fuck is Fuel HD? Auto sports?

it'd be good for me.

i only have broadcast tv. i buy most of the cards they air through the website. i wish i could do the same with the Spike and Versus fights they put on. i wish Strikeforce would stream their events again as they did briefly.

if some of those events end up live on broadcast TV, i can watch them without having to go over to someone else's place.

so as a fan, that's good for me.
