so...rumor is that Shogun is out of his fight against Forrest Griffin due to a knee injury.

Can we just lop off his leg and give him a pegleg or something already. Dude's knee is made of paper mache.

205 has been too volatile since rampage knocked out chuck in 07, nobody has really defended the title since the iceman, unless you count that nonsense decision machida got, and after he won the strap we were supposed to be entering the machida era, so jones is the goat talk is crazy premature.
Rampage did defend it against Hendo too

Nothing too surprising this time.

Mike Kyle vs. Marcos Rogerio de Lima on the HWGP semifinal show. September's Challenger's card has Lorenz Larkin, Ryan Couture, and Lavar Johnson.

Supposedly there's a press conference in LA at 1 PM ET where they'll announce the FOX deal. GSP, Rashad, and Edgar will probably be there.

Can't wait for UFC 137. That card is so amazing.

134 and 137 are stacked.

I'm so fucking hyped for both of these, it's going to be epic.

134: not only featuring Shogun/Anderson/Nogueira all on the same card, but it's hosted in Brazil.

137: GSP/Diaz, BJ/Condit, Kongo/Mittrione, Cro Cop/Nelson, Hioke/Roop. 'Nuff said.

It's nice to want things. You know Bones is legit when Anderson Silva wants to be buddies all of a sudden and never return to 205.

Bones might be arrogant and have a tendency to not train 100%, but with Greg Jackson at the helm it will never happen imho, guy is too smart to let his next money train derail.

Silva is right to fear Bones too, he is (skill wise) him when he was 23, but with longer limbs, better athleticism and wrestling...

When has Bones ever show the striking skill that Anderson Silva has? Answer, never.

Also,

Via Twitter, Shogun's manager, Eduardo Alonso says that Shogun's kneews are "perfect" and he is prepared for Forrest Griffin at UFC 134.

Where was Anderson Silva when he was 23? Answer, 5 years from getting beat by Daiju Takase. It's safe to say Jones has room to grow.

I love that a sticking point in the UFC's deals has been their requirement of control over presentation, which is probably the single worst thing about the UFC. They succeed (relatively speaking) in spite of their presentation, and I'd say it's actually something that's held them back from broader mainstream success (see: this year's plummeting buy rights, which wouldn't have been nearly as bad if the UFC was more focused on attracting a wider audience rather than just bleeding the hardcore fans dry). Not a huge fan of Fox Sports, but I hope they got at least some creative control.

So GSP and Frankie Edgar changed bodies?

lol @ disembowel an orc in your own room instead of watching boxing

I started the stream and that was the first thing I heard... wtf. lol

I'll echo the sentiments that it would be nice if it gets rid of that awful intro music.

4 Fights on main FOX network
32 live fights on FX
2 runs of TUF each year on FX (will be live) (Friday nights)
Pre/Post-fights on FUEL TV

that's alot

32 live events on FX!!!!! This deal is amazing then i take back my words.

Yeah what the fuck is this...How can they have this many evens plus the PPVs and 4 free cards on Fox

ufc twitter
4 events a year live on Fox, 4-6 more on F/X, The Ultimate Fighter will be on F/X - and TUF fights will be LIVE!

Pretty crazy. I remember watching Vitor vs Chack on Fox Sportsnet 10 years ago. It's kind of a nice coming full circle thing.

Uhhh need some clarification on this 32 number.

The guy just explained it as 4 fight nights and all the TUF fights.

I'm not sure if the live TUF thing is as big a deal as some of you think it is though. Bad fights don't magically get better just because they're live.
