You know I was just going by the fact that he's calling himself the mother since he created the character, but you do make a good point.

The question only asked Miyamoto if he knew who Bowser Jr.'s mother is. And Miyamoto only replied by nodding and pointing to himself.
Neither the questions or the person asking them in the video made the clarification to ask exactly who Bowser Jr.'s mother is. Similarily, neither did Miyamoto, made a clarification to say who Bowser Jr.'s mother is. At best, Miyamoto pointing to himself was an implication but not an outright answer.
...so this technically means Miyamoto never said who Bowser Jr.'s mother is.

"Is Mario named after former Nintendo of America Warehouse Landlord Mario Segale?"

I think that one was kind of known, would that mean Mario's last name is Segale?
"Is the Mario shown on the original Super Mario Bros packaging about to lose a life?"
-Miyamoto shakes head-
This one I always suspected because of the speed line, foot going through the block, and the perspective, I think it's supposed to be an angled view of Mario from sort of above jumping onto blocks, and not a side view.
"Would you let Dr. Mario operate on you?"
-Miyamoto shakes head vigorously no-
That's not even a myth, though. But I wouldn't let him stuff me full of pills, either.
"Was Super Mario Bros. 3 all just a performance?"
-Miyamoto nods head-
Of course they only asked in Mario Bros 3 case, but I guess the implication is only Mario Bros 3 is supposed to be a performance, and not the whole series. Like they decided to do a stage act, which on account they throw parties, sport tourneys, and other such odd situations, I guess is believable.

Well, that was probable, so not surprising. The frustrating thing about this question is, while not important, there's some individual odd questions one could ask about Bob-Ombs or Boos. XD;
