Miyazaki take on Bloodborne 2, interview with GameSpot Brazil

Legend.

Dude can't stop making legendary games. Since Demon Souls (perhaps even before) Miyazaki is making master pieces, one after another.

The Old Monk boss drove me to despair the first time I played Demon's Souls back in 2009. I started as a Royal as I read that was the best class for noobs. I pretty much skated through the game up until that point, range attacking enemies with the soul arrow. A tactic not quite so effective against other players. They absolutely obliterated me. Probably 10 times or more. Thought I might have to quit. I persevered, though, until EVENTUALLY.........a player was summoned who took pity on me and let me kick his ass. :messenger_tears_of_joy:

Maybe he went through the same thing.

Bloodborne was the and only reason I bought my PS4 at the time, a Bloodborne 2 for PS5 would make me buy the system day 1. Just saying Sony....

what does 'unfortunately it's not up to me' in regards to Bloodborne 2 mean?...I'm sure Sony would love to do it...so what's stopping Miyazaki from doing it?...or is he just playing his cards close to the vest and not announcing that it's been in development for awhile?

Take note, Kojima: this is what a REAL developer sounds like; not an overrated media darling who spends all of his time hanging out with D-list celebrities and wishing he were one.

On topic, Bloodborne is one of my favorite games, level design was on spot, although it didn't reach DS1's and Sekiro's interconectivity

Holiday period 2020.

If Bloodborne II happens it needs to be in a different setting and scenario with similar concepts.
Nah, there are still mysteries and questions from the first one that need to be answered and the only way to do that is by going back to Yharnam.

But if this had to be the case then I'd like to see the region where the Hunter PC came from, if it's anything important, that is.

Miyazaki is not the boss at From Software.

The moment the
Blood Moon rose after killing Rom, and the Amygdala could be seen is the exact moment Bloodborne became one of my standouts with respect to storytelling. Up until that point it was an awesome game with pretty formulaic horror elements, a bit of the arcane mixed in here or there but overall effective, but predictable horror. The revelation that there was something much more sinister ALWAYS there was Lovecraftian horror done right.

Bloodborne is awesome, but it does not need a sequel. Definitely needs a spiritual successor though.

Hopefully there won't be an Elden Ring 2, and instead a spritual succesor based off of it.

Much respect to this man. Even though I'm bad at his games as of now, I still buy them when I can to support him, and reading this translated interview furthered my respect for him.
