Eh. Think about who that benefits though. I root for a small market team that can't play in the big international game but still I'd rather see these guys get their payday. Owners claim to be big free market guys...so let it stay a free market rather than owners saving money.

That's the difference. Yankees have the willingness to spend for major improvement, other teams do not.
Rumor has it that teams are expecting the Blue Jays to give up Stroman for one of the top rental starters. I mean jeez, give up several years of a quality starter for a temporary rental? I'm not so sure that's a smart move. At least I'd like to see the Jays in a better playoff position before they do something drastic like this.

And lol they called up Leon, not Zito. Poor Barry.
So Mengden's a 22 year old pitcher who was pitching at Lancaster. 9.2 k's per 9, 3.7 K/W. Give up some hits.
Nottingham is a 20 year old catcher also at Lancaster. Having a real good year between A and High A, .941 OPS, 14HR in 300 AB.
So, couple high A long-term prospects. Guess we'll have to wait a few years to see how this one panned out.
