i don't think what he did was right but sterling is definitely in a position where he did much worse and don't really see the events as analogous.

In our rush to jump to this guy's defense are we gonna act like Sterling's getting excommunicated wasn't 1000x worse?

She posted screen caps of the convo with no personal information. He was only embarrassed in the context of the airplane, and gets to go on living his life as an anonymous douchebag. I don't understand how anyone could be upset with what she did, all she pointed out was "hey, this guy is being a jerk, this is what fat people deal with every day."

I'm sorry, I stand for the progressive and empathetic side 99% of the time, but I draw the line here.

I'm all for more diversity in body shapes, ensuring that people know that not everyone have the genes to attain the same bodies, and to love their bodies so they take care of them, but I'm not gonna start equating someone talking shit about her specific body size, with people hating on POC simply for their colour.

It's not about whether they're equal, but that they're both oppressive.

Exactly two different things, he did not publicly make those remarks to her, and she would never in a million years would've found out what he wrote about her if she did not look at his phone and read his texts.
