Holy shit at you calling it "bad CG". The amount of time and expertise that went into that character looking convincing for even a few of the shots, was immense.

Time, money and expertise pissed down the drain.

That Schwarzenegger shot did a great job of capturing his shape, but the really smooth texture, especially when lighting hits it, makes it obvious. It looks like a video game FMV almost.

I haven't seen it in motion, so I can only judge based on that shot.

It actually looks way better in motion. Also compounded by the fact that the character and camera moves rather fast and the whole shot only lasts a few seconds. I don't think it was that bad of a shot.

I can't believe people are mentioning two face and the transformers in this thread. You know bad CGI is? Check out the body from the first episode of dexter from season six. Those snakes look like they were done on a playstation.

there's two instances this season:

the snakes in the body
the teeth being dropped in the ocean

the CG was godawful

I have never seen truly convincing CG.

I've seen some that gets closer than others.

The worst offenders have to be anything from the Syfy channel.

Though for the money spent, you honestly can't get worse than that recent Wolverine flick.
