"Modern" surf rock recommendations

Maybe it's my SoCal roots but every now and then I get an urge to listen to some surf rock. So tonight I started listening to some Man Or Astro Man? and began to wonder if GAF had any solid recommendations.

Not sure if there are many fans of surf rock here on GAF... in general I'd like to hear some new(er) stuff, within the last 10 years if possible (I've got plenty of Dick Dale and that generation of surf rock), but 90's stuff that I may have missed would be cool too.

Thanks for the recommendations... checked out the Red Elvises, which was pretty bizarre but fun. Surf Coasters are awesome from what I heard, thanks for that! And thanks for reminding me, I meant to look into Surfer Blood more. (yeah I'm familiar with Agent Orange)

Cool stuff, if anybody else has recs keep them coming!)

If you like Red Elvises, also check out Laika & the Cosmonauts. I don't know if they count as "modern" since they've been around for 20 years.

Close enough... and wikipedia says they've put out some stuff pretty recently, actually? Quite a discography. Do you have any specific albums or songs I should check out? I'm looking them up :)

I know you were asking for new stuff, but have you ever listened to The Spotniks?

I haven't, any song suggestions?

or Link Wray?
Yeah, definitely heard Link Wray! :) Everybody should hear Rumble :) Lots of other good stuff too but obviously that one is huge.

Maybe I don't know what surf rock is but... Surfer Blood more seems like rock about surfing than surf rock.

Still like them, mind you.

The Surf revival died out in the late 90's (so when you say modern, I assume anything post 60's), but damn what a great time it was.
