Its treyarch that did that shitty zombie mode and considering IW does not seem to like treyarch , they won't be following in their footsteps.

Besides L4D destroys nazi zombies.

60FPS version is still in the works guys, had to make some quick title card edits for boring age-gate requirements. It'll be going up on Modernwarfare2.com when it's done, I'm sure DKo5 will be in here frantically posting it when he finishes it.

Praise the laud! Let us know the time intervals in between these multiplayer trailers. I wanna host huge parties in anticipation for the next debut...

Well, my point is I think the PS3 couldn't handle the game at 720p, but IW was marketing the concept that both games were identical. So I think they dropped the res of the 360 version on purpose to keep parity between them.

However, the engine should have been able to, but after all I've said about resolution this and that, even on the PC, at 1080p, CoD 4 looks just about the same.

I think your nuts, killzone 2 runs perfectly fine at 720p and still looks better.

I really, really hope this game has 'locale only' search like WaW. The only reason I play WaW now instead of MW is because I'm Australian, and when I search locale only I get an Australian match 99% of the time. I like Modern Warfare much better but I always get laggy games with Americans.

If MW2 doesn't have locale only search then I'm returning it after I finish the single player...

Yeah, I like the new look of the font. Looks sharp. It looks like there's a little more head bob in your walk. Where as the walking bob felt a little stiff in COD4. Some nice touches I'm seeing, even for a short clip.
 
Wow. I thought this game was just gonna turn out to be more COD4, but this footage actually makes it look like a real sequel.
 
Looking good, but I'm not looking forward to buying all these damn games this fall. At least it comes out two days after my birthday, so I should have some spare change.

As much as I appreciate the visuals of Killzone 2, it also runs at half the framerate, is an exclusive, and had a longer development time.
 
The video looked great and I'm looking forward to MW2, but this thread makes me feel like the adult in the Cinnamon Toast Crunch commercials.

OH, right, that. I never used that (not consciously, anyway), but that's kind of a feature in the game, you know with them teaching it in the tutorial and all.

I'll be honest, I never played the game enough for me to consider any kind of problem or annoyance, but you know it IS possible to make skill in the game about more than just aiming. In fact, in a lot of the hardcore FPS aiming is really just an artificial barrier for entry (sort of like memorizing moves in a fighting game), since all the top players can aim perfectly anyway, and the competitive meat of the game is often about other things.

Don't forget this is IW third game on the platform. Its not like they forget everything whenever they release a game.

I wouldn't, and I don't remember it being in the 360 beta.

IW1: CoD1 was 60+fps if running on recommended hardware (it was a PC-only game).
IW2: CoD2 was 60fps.
IW3: CoD4:MW was 60fps.
IW4: MW2 is 60fps.
 
This looks great. Kinda glad a lot of the other good games are getting delayed till 2010. Means I get to play this a whole lot more!
 
man get this MMO xp shit out of my FPS games. what happened to even playing fields. XP was the one thing annoying about COD multiplayer.
 
That looks great.

I had some issues with CoD4 multiplayer that I hope are addressed in MW2, but one thing Infinity Ward excels at is making the player feel awesome at all times. You're always ranking up and unlocking new perks and weapons, you never feel frustrated when dying because you can respawn immediately, and there is a satisfaction to seeing +10 pop up on-screen with every kill. That is why the series is such a huge success.

I'm not sure about the HUD though, I like that it's minimal but the scoreboard part seems really tiny and hard to read.
 
Modern Warfare 2 is clearly a refined version of COD4, which is cool because that's what the vast majority of people want, but I'm still infinitely more excited for Battlefield: Bad Company 2.
 
Looks great, but I still don't understand their logic behind giving the guys that play the best, even better weapons?

It absolutely doesn't make any sense that if you get 11 kills in a row, you get a fucking bomber. You already got 11 kills without dying, if anything the OTHER team NEEDS a bomber to get back into the game. Granted, it's basically taking pity on them, but if the teams are so unbalanced as they are getting such high kill streaks, then I honestly don't know why you'd widen the gap...

It just doesn't make any sense!

Winning/Loosing text seems to make up for that.
