Obviously you're not getting anything close to the console experience, but they're actually pretty decent DS games. N-Space has had four cracks at the series on the DS, so it's come a long way since MW. The AI is horrible in the installments I've tried, but everything else works pretty well. Black Ops even managed to squeeze online Zombies in there. Pretty neat.Boney said:I'd assume these versions are pretty crap right?
Anybody played them?
weeaboo said:Yes, the DS version
Also...VideoMan said:Not surprising in the least...
Oh they're ports are they? Could have sworn that n-space made the campaigns in these games from the ground up...seady said:Handheld port of console game = bad.
How did they play? How was the controls and features? any online component in any those?VideoMan said:Not surprising in the least...

Heh. Activision apparently doesn't like releasing assets for non-HD Call of Duty. I remember World at War had a Wii-specific TV ad back at release, but since then we usually have to wait for people to take blurry pictures of the boxart for some idea of what the game looks like :/Jinfash said:How did they play? It's weird that there are 4 COD titles for the DS, with a fifth on the way, and I've heard and seen 0 media for them.
The graphics were good enough to be compared to a military shooter. Keep in mind it had bigger areas which it had to be rendered as opposed to corridor design of MPH. Also, comparing between those are dumb because COD on DS is an FPS while MPS never felt like one.Tallshortman said:Can't say I enjoyed CoD4 on the DS much. It's graphical capabilities simply don't render "realistic" graphics very well, hence why I loved the look of Metroid Prime Hunters so much more. Gameplay was also fairly generic.
they are not ports. You stop with the troll post.seady said:Handheld port of console game = bad.
Be it DS, 3DS, iPhone, Vita. All bad.
And why does Wario hate Nintendo so much. Stop with all these troll posts.

The reverse is also true. Lots of early (and even late) DS games are just GBA ports with a map or logo on the second screen.AbsoluteZero said:Eh, happened all the time in the early days of the DS. There's probably at least a dozen GBA titles that should have been on the DS instead.
I'm glad I survived the entire DS generation without subjecting myself to that type of freaking ugly 3D visuals. Wow!Effect said:If anyone is curious as to what these games look like I came across this video of Black Ops DS on youtube.

From The Battle of Stalingrad to shooting uzis gangsta style on snowmobiles. It does seem weird.Silly.Mikey said:This franchise has become a joke.
Actually, a 3DS version could look closer to the HD twins than the Wii version.Sadist said:CoD MW DS actually sold 500k just in the US.
Don't understand it though. They could easily port the Wii version to 3DS.
No one.LiquidMetal14 said:Who say teh 3DS hab no gams?
Treyarch's doing it. Infinity Ward isn't capable of Wii ports, they think it's impossible so Activision got the A team to lend a hand.electroshockwave said:There's a Wii version? I guess Infinity Ward really is a shell of its former self.

http://www.facebook.com/nSpaceInc/posts/105343732898633You guys all need to understand that we make the games we are hired to make. It is not our call to decide which platforms to support. Obviously we are big 3DS fans and supporters as we have 3 titles in development. If it were as simple as us choosing what products and platforms to develop for I would get a lot more sleep.
