Maybe because they both working on the game, huh?

I guess he was referring to that it looks like a full IW game. I can't see Sledgehammers touch either.

What would that be? I'm curious as to what constitutes Sledgehammer's touch"...

I'm hoping they'll tone down the non-stop action in its campaign. I've always enjoyed Call of Duty's scripted, corridor structured campaigns, but Modern Warfare was just crammed with shocking moments. I felt disconnected from the entire experience, never really knowing what the hell was going on.

But I guess they feel they're doing right by their audience. And, judging by the sales, they're probably correct too.

Hate to say this, but I prefered Gregson-Williams from COD4. WAY better.

Never knew Gregson-Williams did COD4.
Have to check that out. Never really played COD4.

I always thought Gregson-Williams was the better composer.
Ever since the Metal Gear Solid games anyway.

Although Zimmer's work on The Dark Knight was fantastic as well.

I can't believe Germany is in it, and what looks like it, not the bad guys. Sure Russia is still the enemy, but not whole of Russia are the enemies, just the terrorists. I wonder if they will speak their native languages in France and Germany. Don't think so.

Anyways, I'm probably going to be there 1st week. Holding out for multiplayer information and to see if the fucking game is actually optimized this time around. Couldn't play Blops for a month on my PC because of random stuttering.

Looks great. Lol at the people who says it looks like Call of Duty. What is it supposed to look like? People love this shit, it will sell million of copies, and the multiplayer will be fun.

There was German and French spoken in the teaser things, but I imagine you'll be playing an American or something.

Looked crazy fun. I like these kind of rides. I get a couple of hours of "pew pew BOOM" and I'm happy. Won't buy it new, will wait for price drop or borrow from a friend because I'm only in it for single player.

i like the elaborate 1st person animations, already loved them in blops and glad they're here to stay
graphics are kinda meh but i'll still bite

Looks OK, but not substantially different from any of the previous MW games. I guess they are playing it safe.

I wonder what kind of ultra-cheap Chinese plague-bearing cat helmet is coming our way this time. Kind of hope they will include a live claymore mine this time.

Maybe because it's using an updated MW2 engine and most of the stuff is still probably being done by IW (as in, asset creation)?. For all we know, Sledgehammer might be just working on the multiplayer maps. And for those all you need are the assets from the singleplayer campaign placed all around the map to create a new layout.

Looks boring to me, Black Ops did some cool things, but this is just dudes in grey suits in grey cities again.
Really? All you see is grey cities? Paris doesn't look all that grey and NY is kind of a mix. As for Germany, it looks a bit grey but not that much. And.. "again"? MW2 had quite a bit of color. Maybe not as much as Uncharted 2 and the likes, but still quite a lot of color. Definitely more than BF3 from what we've seen, and much more than the KZ games, Gears of War, etc...

Brah, there was red in the trailer. You lose!

Looked great, can't wait to play it. I loved the other games. I never payed full price for them, despite multiplayer alone justifying a full retail price. Thats the shitty thing about MW1 and 2: within two weeks of it coming out Target had MW2 on sale for 40 bucks, and best buy had 1 on sale with AC1 for 25. I'm waiting two weeks on this one and getting it cheap this time!

For real though, france looked awesomeeee. And the Maps looked big in scope.

Choppers, explosions, car chases and burning buildings ey ? What else is new in the world of CoD? ( or any flipping military shooter since mw1 )

You are correct. They should have added some alien invasions, a big tsunami eating the whole city and some plasma rifles, that will make it a better modern warfare title!.

Seems like they've pulled a cod 2 again and copied as many scenes as possible from a bunch of other games.
All like look me too.

Looks like any other cod to me, I think it's safe to assume it'll play like any other cod too.

No thanks pseudo IW.

Has anyone mentioned @ 1:10 in the trailer, there's a character vaulting himself over an obstacle. Graphics look different from SP and there's weapons on the ground, making me think it's a shot from multiplayer. Perhaps a new movement action/perk for getting around faster?

Or you know, something other than carchases and choppers. For someone of your creative stature I'm surprised at your seemingly lack of imagination ( aliens? )

I was all ready to not care after Blops... so much for that.

New resolution: No more Treyarch CoDs.

LOL, Blops was the best selling game of all time......they must have done something right.

maybe the formula is getting a but dusty? not saying the the new MW wont sell like the shit, but i believe its one of the key abilities of a great manager/producer to stop its franchise exactly one iteration before it becomes a joke.

Uncharted 2 looked fairly similar to Uncharted and played pretty much the same. Uncharted 2 looks fairly similar to Uncharted 2 and will most likely play the same as it. Will that stop you from enjoying it? If you liked Uncharted and Uncharted 2, chances are won't. And you wouldn't expect Uncharted 3 to play different than Uncharted 2.

Then why would you expect MW3 to look or play all that different than MW2? And if you didn't even like MW2 (it seems), then why did you even bother posting here?

Seriously. What's up with some of you guys expecting something absolutely different from MW2? MW2 sold a lot, why would they change their game and potentially alienate their (pretty huge) fanbase?

Black Ops was fairly different. And as I said above, what's different in Uncharted 1 and 2? Yeah, the locations right? Well in MW2 you had a snowy area and some US's "burger town". Here you have NYC, France and Germany, that sounds quite different to me.

Also, you can't say COD4, MW2 and Black Ops are exactly the same now, can you?..

Will sell a crazy number of units. Personally I prefer my FPS games a little more based around objectives and teamplay, so I will be picking up BF3...well, as long as I can find time around all those other delicious games coming out. :D Watching the build-up to MW3 will be fascinating.

After MW3, I hope they give the series a break and start working on a new engine. I know Acti loves cash but they must be planning for the next-gen stuff right?

The problem is COD has been the same since COD4. Atleast with Uncharted, it was a drastic improvement from Uncharted 1, Uncharted 2 was much bigger and better, with more locations, much better graphics, stealth gameplay, refined controls and it even added a multiplayer mode. The jumpt from U1 to U2 was huge in comparison to the jump from each COD game. Now with Uncharted 3 they are doing much more, Uncharted 3 multiplayer has been drastically expanded in comparison to Uncharted 2. asically what I am saying is it seems each COD is a mini step, while between each Uncharted is a huge jump.

You're not really making an argument with sales numbers, are you?

Random fact: The Backstreet Boys are in the top 10 for most albums ever sold. Those guys were awesome.

Go on...

Never liked any of the cod games, cod2 was a shameless copy of the much better allied assault.

Cod changed plenty over the years though, the changing just stopped with mw2.
If you were into mw2 (p2p servers on pc, terrible spawn system, hackers a dime a dozen , really boring campaign and a bunch of perks prone to abuse) then good for you, I guess.

Silly of me to check if they'd change up the formula a bit, but looking at the trailer suggests that it's pretty unlikely.
