Modnation Racers trailer (desert stage)

Sony really needs to make hot shots golf "play, create, and share" with this mod nation track editor and introduce it with the motion wand controller, it would be the greatest thing to golf games since slice bread. I think it would really be a great pack in bundle pack and push the genre forward.

Oh shit. That WOULD be insane.

You know, the building mechanics remind me A LOT of the ones Frontier used with RCT3.
The terrain surface thing is exactly the same.

Lets hope that people dont use this to only do penis shape circuits.

game looks very good, but characters and cars very uninspired. I would use LBP characters instead and a more cartoony look. I hope it plays well.

Hopefully they get a Sackboy in there.

Like the style, like the concept, only thing thats missing is a great battle mode. Add some Balloons make it possible to build "4 forts" and boom you got an everlasting kart racer...

Probably more hyped for this than any other game in 2010. I was really sad when it was announced at E3 because I thought it had a chance at being Holiday 2009 :/

Still not convinced the game will play any differently just because it has a level editor.

Nothing about the level editor has the same sense of personality as Little Big Planet- the gameplay needs to be good on boring tracks before they go in and put that stuff. Either the level editor is limited or they're just not using their imagination? Where's the Micro Machines esque spiral castles and loop the loops?

Every trailer it's focusing on the track editor, but they fail to see I'm not going to buy it unless it's at least as fun as Mario Kart. Hate to say it but I'm more excited for the XBOX cart racer,

This game looks insane!!
I don't know if I could be knackered designing my own track but for sure other people will create some wonders, hopefully some real life tracks with some mental jumps and whatnot.

Looks hot, can't wait till they show the jungle/beach/island type theme, desert and country side are sort of boring. I still probably wont be buying this if it isn't on PSN, im just not into racers enough, let alone kart racers to buy a disc version. :\

The track editor looks spot on, that's really good. This game has the potential to have a community like that of LBP, and that's what catches me. Just announce 4 player split screen and I'll get this day one.

So who exactly is making this game? United Fronts has nothing on their website about it, and isn't SCE San Diego the guys who make the MLB games (the 989 Sport guys?).

Just dropping by to repeat my wishlist from the old E3 thread:

split-screen multiplayer (4 players hopefully!)
fully customizable carts (stat points for different driving behaviour, acceleration, weight,...)

Devs are united front. i guess they just aren't ready to put up a website.

old stuff from the blog they posted first showing the game and trailer.

When we’re done, you’ll be able to make many, many different types of characters ranging from human to alien to just about anywhere in between.

Looks awesome.

This game just needs
-PSN release
-LBP Sackboys
-4 player split-screen

I'm pretty sure that's not gonna happen.

My main concern with the game is that the camera angle is too close to the ground that your player's head often obstructs the road-- all the way to the horizon, even. It's game-breaking since you might not be able see the powerups or hazards coming directly towards you.

Multiple camera angles, there will be, I assume.

It might have different camera options like LBP does. If not that, that def different views.
