Not sure on the first part, I haven't experienced it anyway. But gamers of all kinds are welcome here. Just don't be a mentally stunted console warrior. There is a difference between having a preference to a particular platform and warring for that platform.

Yep. And that is just the latest example. Plenty of other Sony warriors on the ban list. I see Xbox fans shitting up PlayStation threads and not all of them are dealt with either. It works both ways.

Edit: I see them now, I tend not to respond to revenge vendettas when you've been actioned yourself. It's high school or lower type tattle tailing. Just because you've been actioned doesn't mean they haven't been as well.

Most actions we don't put on blast- only the most blatant that need a thread course correction.

I don't get it. I lurked back then and GAF is nowhere near ResetEra levels then or now. It felt more like it was leaning too much into 4Chan territory back in 2020, and now feels more natural/neutral. There has been nothing that indicates massive abuse of moderation power, constant doxxing, harassment, or other idiocy that is indicative of reeeeee types.

They weren't revenge vendettas. I asked why I was banned for being off topic by responding to an off topic post. Yet that post wasn't. I wasn't trying to get them in trouble.
The fact you didn't even see my posts until months later and then dismiss them is ridiculous.

I refreshed my memory with it. It was ignored since you don't know the action taken on the other user you were throwing under the bus due to your own action.

I'm not going to discuss other users with someone who was actioned, especially if I wasn't the one that did the action.

Well to be fair, it's just a video game forum. It sounds like the OP feels like Xbox fans are getting brunt of it and that's part of being pissed. Who cares.

I can understand someone in a forum getting peeved that he's getting plastered with personal insults and nobody is doing anything about it. But I dont think GAF is like that. You get some trolling and ribbing, but lets not pretend here GAF is a free for all of stupidity and callous remarks aimed at every person's head.

As for reporting trolls, who cares. I've been on this board part of all the fun back and forth banter and I think I have reported to mods once. And I've never put someone on ignore either. I dont even remember what the report even was. And looking back right now, I think it was petty even to report that one incident.

I've had a handful of warnings over the years and I think it was fair. The only one I think was unfair (which I didn't even bother replying back since it was I think a 2 pt warning which I brushed off) was one time there was a video upload thread and I was posting YT trailers like everyone else. I posted two clips in one post. Then I found some more good ones and did a second post with I think two posts. I got a warning by a mod saying I was spamming the thread. I didnt feel like editing the post to make it one 4 video post, so I did two separate ones. Who cares.

Edit: I looked back at my warning. Actually it seems legit. I actually did 5 rapid fire posts. I thought I did two. I guess that mod preferred if I compiled it into one or two posts. Fair enough.

I had a post edited because I called ms an name. Yeah that was pretty lame but I give mods the benefit of the doubt.

More important than my little anecdote tho, you should get a grip.

I'm sure there'll be another next week, likely the same day. The problem is most of the people sperging seem to be American. Get some of your blokes to become angry at *checks word salad* moderators for *another glance* deleting too many console war posts and us yanks will get a taste of the old "well fuck, I was asleep," drought.

But I know no action was taken comparable to me. I was thread banned and some note on the post. The other person wasn't. They actually replied to the post that thread banned me.

So my complaint was a double standard. You can't hide behind not discussing others moderation when the moderation is publically shown like in this case.

I wonder what kind of stuff you have to say here that gets you banned. Sure, on other forums you get banned for virtual farting or "offensive language" or "insensitive language on a sensitive topic" or simply for using ableism words such as "retard". It's walking on eggshells.

But if you manage to get banned here... I don't know what you'd have to do except for heavily insulting mods and admins.

So maybe it's truly deserved?

am i weird because everyones talking about how theyve had their posts edited? i've never had that many post edits.
the only times the mods got on me was when i derailed that one genshin thread and ended up insulting the game's fanbase. but as shit as the game was they were justified and i was being frankly a giant ass there
