Plesioth should be banned from the MH series. After playing hundreds and hundreds or hours of Freedom Unite and dealing with the ridiculous 'hit box' Plesioth has, I'd rather not have to deal with another one again. Especially after dealing with them in the high levels of the game, it's absolute torture

Does it still put things to sleep when flying out of the water? I guessing it would be sort of useless to hunters (cause they would follow it into the water) save for recovering stamina from smaller monster.

Sorry for the shameless bump, but does anyone still play Tri or any other one online? I just started playing again. REALLY would love to get online with some other players so I can learn to not suck as much.

Since this is a third gen MH title, broken, oversized hit boxes should not be a concern. Hit boxes that match the monsters 1:1 is one of the biggest improvements the third gen has offered to the series.

Wow. Forgot this was out so soon. Stop reminding of this game I can't play!
Getting over the first hurdle can take a while (Great Jaggi). Once you manage that and start progressing through the ranks of other beasts, the game sinks its teeth right in.
Stick with Sword and Shield until you have collected a few bits for making better gear. Weapon choice is all your playstyle preference, so go with what you like to play with.
I saw a good few adverts for TriG over in Japan. Since so many games come out, its amazing how quickly they get replaced with something else.
Though I did see some pretty cool TriG calendars and toys.Is the roster 3x as big as Tri?
This is so annoying. Tri is my first game in the series, I become a fan, and now the only way to get a sequel or update is jump ship :-/

As it stands:
MHFU: 58 (~40 unique)
MH3: 18 (18 unique)
MHP3: 40 (28 unique)
MH3G: 50+ (30+ unique)
assuming MH3G is a strict upgrade over MHP3
The important thing to note about MHFU and MHP3 were the somewhat large number of very low-level monsters the games had. So far all of MH3G's recolors or additions are of monsters most people would consider either medium or hard difficulty.

I'm interested to see which market they try to target - and whether they have something in mind balancing wise to get PSP players to convert?
I can't face the redicule of switching over to MH3, the wife is already laughing at the fact that we're nowhere near done with MH3rdP yet i'd even consider effectively resenting the clock and starting over again.

It's almost my first. I've played a bit of Freedom Unite, but I find analog games incredibly uncomfortable to play on the PSP 1000 so I rarely play it.
I can smell it.
- New collaboration Enterbrain Slash Axe 'Slash Fox' (!) and Guild Card
- G level armor X series (with a whole new look) after upgrading from S series
- 3 new G level skills:
i) Meat Lover - Eating any kind of meat will have Dash Juice effect
ii) Honey Hunter - Gather 2 X Royal Honey and Honey
iii) Diving Distance Enhance - Dive further when using the invincible dive
- G level armor X series (with a whole new look) after upgrading from S series
- 3 new G level skills:

Get a bow son and you'll realize that you shall never leave home without it when fighting him.

My first prediction for the Lagicrus Subspecies was exactly that, I hope there's still room for it.
