I'm almost embarassed to say "that looked awesome" but I've learned to sort of adopt to shit like this and Transformers, so whatever, bring on the booms and utter ridiculousness :lol

Besides, it can't be as bad as Van Helsing. I'm convinced of this. But then again I kept thinking that Wolverine couldn't be as bad as X-Men 3.

Why are they even tying the name to this movie when it looks nothing like it, and the characteristics and feel of this movie is nothing like the original series?

Okay, so: I slow-moed the shot at the end - no clipping. It's obviously CG in the fact that the camera is moving in ways it shouldn't be able to move, and that the characters are moving in super-human ways (an ability afforded them by the "accelerator suits.") The quality of the CG, though, is pretty good and no-where near the title of "most obvious CGI scene ever" (I think that distinction goes to the fake Keanu Reeves in Matrix Reloaded - edit: or the Mummy movie, which I never saw ).

I've never had an eye for "bad" CGI unless it's really obvious and I think the trailer looks great. I'm definitely watching this unless the reviews are really bad.

I also don't get why people are ragging on this so much. Everything we've seen looks fine or great actually. The ninjas look awesome, especially. Maybe it's because I'm too young to remember much of the GI Joe cartoons from back then so I don't really give a shit how close or far from the source material the movie is.

As a child I dreamed of this. I'm just happy they've tried to stay close to the source...

I mean, this is Hollywood, Storm Shadow could've been played by Owen Wilson and Snake Eyes could be speaking and wearing no mask at all... which happened in the original script.

I'm not expecting this to play out as envisioned in my childhood fantasies, but I don't expect it to be too bad either.

A few nip picks here and there as well. I don't care for Transformers, but it was a decent action movie.

But I do agree... I don't see why G.I. Joe is getting so much flack when no one's seen it yet. It has explosions, ninja, women, submarine battles, guns, snowmobiles with missiles, bikes with swords... all it needs is a Tyrannosaurs Rex with lasers and this would be GAF's dream movie.

Transformers was awesome. So was van helsing and the mummy 1 and 2. GAF is pretty highbrow I mean I thought children of men sucked badly. I love alfonso cuaron but that movie imo sucked, it made no sense and a world without children? Isnt that awesome? I hate kids.

I wasnt much into gi joe as a kid I just thought the action figures were bad ass. Man I loved the white ninja dude, it was hard to come by those action figures too.

Day 1 just for Sienna's magical bra and the chick that plays the redhead actually has a REAL fantastic rack. They need to pimp her out more in the previews for real.
