Good ones?
Yes im sure all 100 games will be good.
Good ones?
Pardon??
I don't think that's an important distinction to many people any more. How many retail games? I know bolstering your digital library is important, but seriously, don't try to sex things up so dramatically.
I'm going to get a list started:
N++
Rogue Legacy
Binding of Isaac Rebirth
Infamous Second Son
Watch Dogs
Strider
Rayman Legends
Stealth Inc Ultimate Edition
1001 Spikes
Secret Ponchos
Driveclub
The Order 1886
Daylight
Mercenary Kings
Thief
FF XIV
The Witness
Planetside 2
Oddworld New 'N Tasty
Galak-Z
Alien Isolation
It's not. A game is a game. Indies can be just as meaty, deep & complex (or lack content, superficial and simple) as the best (or worst) of non-indies. Just because they are often 2d or the 3d is simpler doesn't change that unarguable fact. It's a legitimate counter argument to it.

P.s.: Y'all are just asking for a massive Amirox post that smacks everyone that's belittling indie releases in the face![]()
Most definitely.Counting multiplats?
No.... not at all. It's a legitimate counter argument to it.
who buys a next gen system to play indie games?
they need some blockbuster titles IMO.
I don't think that's an important distinction to many people any more.
No one, probably, but that doesn't mean people can't be excited about them and buy them. I'm sure no one bought an Xbox 360 for Minecraft but look how well that's done.who buys a next gen system to play indie games?

Not really. Are indie games not games?

I buy systems to play games, I don't divide games based on silly, inane reasons. Something like having Hyper Light Drifter on the go is just as much a reason to own a Vita for me as Gravity Rush is.who buys a next gen system to play indie games?

WiiU is getting 120+, Nintendo won.
what are you trying to say? i'm confused. 100 ps4 games is a counter argument to the existence of indie games?

maybe they should uh, start releasing them now
No I'm saying using indie games to up the numbers is something I don't think they should do.
I can see why my comment would be jumped on but it's the perception of the quality/timeof indie games vs retail games.
It's difficult to quantify this indie game vs retail game without totally spoiling the thread, so I'll just say I don't really have an interest in indie games other than an inquisitive look through the shop window. So tell me what the retail games are.

This board makes me so sad sometimes.

Me... I do. I have played more Don't Starve then I will most blockbuster games. Multiplayer rarely ever keeps my interest and most "blockbuster" games are a one and done SP campaign.who buys a next gen system to play indie games?

Just saying.
Ape Escape 4.
On the Playstation 4.
In 2014.
4 me.
oh shit - need to work faster
How? A game is a game and it doesn't specify retail titles.
oh shit - need to work faster
Woah then lets include every upcoming HTML5 game

100 indie games is a lot less impressive of an announcement than 100 AAA.Not really. Are indie games not games?
Ah there it is. Well, I kind of feel sorry for you because there are a lot of great games out there made by small teams without $200 million budgets, but to each their own I guess. No I'm saying using indie games to up the numbers is something I don't think they should do.

A lot of indie games are of higher quality and offer the same amount of content or even more for a smaller amount of money than retail games. It's a misguided, ignorant perception that indies are somehow of lower quality that some people have because, you know, stupid reasons.I can see why my comment would be jumped on but it's the perception of the quality/timeof indie games vs retail games.
It's your loss. Indie games have been some of the most fun & best games of recent years, offering much better value, clever new ideas and more polished & deeper gameplay than a lot of the biggest yearly retail releases. There have been stories/narratives as deserving (or even more) of best writing rewards as Last of Us and games that offer as fun (or even more fun) a multiplayer as bigger games. It's difficult to quantify this indie game vs retail game without totally spoiling the thread, so I'll just say I don't really have an interest in indie games other than an inquisitive look through the shop window.
Not sure what that means.
