It's an annoying(timely) process, I screencap every frame I want step by step in MPC, then I take those screens and make it in Ulead.

Isn't it possible to, say, just cut a 10-second piece from a video, convert it to .avi, and then convert the .avi to a .gif file? I dunno, I've only ever made a few very crude and basic .gif animations, so..

Use VirtualDub, select the clip you want, export sequence to images, import folder as frames in ImageReady, crop (at 90x120, you can only have about 15 frames to reach the size limit), save as optimized.

Not sure if there's a free alternative to IR though.

My last gif (Metroid) was pretty annoying IMO. Even I hated it after awhile haha.

EDIT: most hot girl avatars also need a name.
