Neuschwanstein Castle, the castle that inspired Disney.
Carcasson is also amazing, it's a whole medieval town.

I prefer more down-to-earth and derelict castles, than well-maintained ones.
Then you might like Corfe Castle in Dorset:

Imposing one from India...I have seen it, it's pretty awesome.
Woah, this is pretty nice, I gotta say! French renaissance it is eh?

That thing looks impenetrable, goddamn.
One of my hopes is before I die I can visit a castle or two. Ever since I was a kid I was obsessed with them. So amazing.

Every castle is built to be beautiful/grand, that this one took inspiration from fairy tales doesn't change anything.Neuschwanstein is definitely beautiful. But it was built during the 1800s with the express purpose of it looking like a fairytale castle. In a way, it's no more "real" than the Disney castle, just 100 years older.
Also, as a tourist you can't see the castle from that angle which is a bit of a shame. It's built on a hill, and you are always too close to the castle to get a good look at it. And from the bottom of the hill, you only see the towers.
