Nothing else comes close. Sure the battle was easy, but it was incredible. I hope Twilight Princess has a final battle has great as this.

TP has a long way to go if it wants to create something as epic as OOT's and TWW's final bosses. They've already done the Ganon thing in 3D two different times in two very different ways. Anything similar would be boring.

I think a one on one sword fight between Link and Ganondorf is in the works, and maybe there will be something that has to do with wolf Link as well. Maybe Ganondorf turns into his huge pig form in the twilight and because of this, you have to face him as the wolf. Then after that, an epic as hell sword fight on the top of Ganon's Tower, lightnight and thunder abound.

Could be cool.

As long as there is some face stabbing
during the fight
, I'm all for it.

Hmmm..... well the most obvious thing they could do (which is also probably the most awesome :D ) is with Link and Ganondorf constantly switching between their forms in the middle of battle. One time they are fighting sword to sword, and the next its the Wolf vs. Ganon. Perhaps they could have it where the Twilight Realm would burst in and out of the room at certain times, and then maybe Zelda would push it back temporarily with her powers. With Ganon being in his giant form VS. a normal sized wolf, Link would be at a severe disadvantage. The fight would be unique because the Wolf would probably be on the defensive, evading Ganon's attacks, but once turning back into a human he'd be on the offensive, constantly trying to get a hit in before the Twilight would rush into the room again.

In my opinion, this would be even better than the final battles in OOT and TWW. :D

Another one that has not been mentioned yet. Man the build-up to this fight was incredible and then once you get to the final level the music gets all dramatic for the big fight making it even more epic:

I'd pick any of the boss fights from the original Jedi Knight over that one. Each boss in Jedi Knight was unique and completely awesome to fight. He was just like the other AI jedi you fight throughout the game, only more accurate.

Half life 2. The whole superhuman build up, then the total spectacle on the rooftop. Awesome.

The best part in this fight is that here's the challenge: save the game with full armor and health, and try to take him out without taking ANY damage. It CAN be done.

As epic as it was, I was pretty pissed with the way your nemesis was a retarded awkward looking dinosaur-man.

He took me 3 seconds to kill. Turn on full level force speed and you can hit him like 15 times before he finishes his first swing. :lol

AHHH!!! I loved that boss fight, but watching that video made me SO MAD. First whoever was playing needs to learn how to freaking parry, not just mash A constantly. And also, why in HOLY HELL would you choose ZELDA as the name for LINK? I was severely confused at first to see the real Zelda talking to the Link-Zelda. Dumbest. Choice. Ever.

Anyway. . .

Yeah, Wind Waker Ganondorf fight was amazingly epic. Also, major props to the Flying Serpant boss in SotC (the one pictured on the first page of thread, I believe it is number 13, but correct me if wrong). I couldn't believe it was even happening. Shooting the sacs with an arrow while barreling along on horseback, riding along side this monstronsity flying low along the sand, jumping off the horse onto the wing with the wind and dust going nuts, climbing up the wing and running all along its back stabbing it's week points while just holding on to its hair as it swoops around and then having it dive back into the sand while you are still on it.

It is the one boss I play if I ever want to show someone just awesome SotC is. So freaking amazingly epically huge. I don't know how anything can top it.

Here's a google video of it, though it's a time attack so it loses some of its grandness with it being a speed run.

Dark Link, only because you can kill him so cheap with a broken sword. :lol
Why am I just finding this out now? I used to go in there with a bunch of green potions just so I could nuke his ass when he started in with his crap.

Super Metroid's end boss what OMGWTF at the time. Still ranks high even today for me.

Shadow of The Collosus was epic period.

I fully concur with the content of this post, The winner of the internet is you.

I'd be tempted to say some metroid fusion bosses are up there aswell,

Defenitly a "OMGWTF" moment the first time I saw him. :P

The Overmind! Unfortunately it's the best picture I could find. :(

I was crapping my pants the first time. :0)

The rest has already been named I guess, perhaps I'll remember a few more later.

Meta Ridley+ Metroid Prime= most intense end of a game ever.
Village Chief in Resident Evil 4
Quadraxis in Metroid Prime 2
Dou Niu in Shenmue 2, one word: EPIC.

So you can skip to the second quest!

SHADOW OF THE COLOSSUS (the final giant was awesome)

and

Blood will Tell (at the end, there was a real big dragon/demon thing)

The last two dungeon levels of Dungeon Master (Atari ST definitive version!) where you fight the Chaos and his henchmen and the dragon. I forget if there were pits on Chaos' level that I fell through or if I just ran down to the next level because I was panicking from getting my ass kicked by Chaos and the demons, but the dragon totally caught me by surprise from behind in my first encounter - and I practically jumped out of my chair when I heard it roar at me unseen. At that point I resolved to kick his ass first and then go back and take care of Chaos. That was one long, hard fight.

The way you had to trap Chaos in order to banish him was also rather cool for the time.

Rugal Bernstein in all the games that he makes an appearance. And almost every Final Boss in a SNK game.

"The End" in Metal Gear Solid 3.
Subsistence gave it a new aspect with the new camera, felt much better.

You also win the internets,

I can't believe how long it took me the first time, damn.

Plenty of other good bosses aswell.

That's one of my favorites as well. I was so under leveled... Took forever to kill him since only my main character could deal any damage and the others were constantly dying. :lol

Are you serious? Zophar was so... anti-climactic. That battle (much like the rest of the game) wasn't even about him. :)

OMG!! I totallyl loved the ending to Phantasy Star 2... <tears stream down Apharmd's face>

Yeah Rugal (not to mention Omega Rugal was just plain nasty at times, and let's not forget Dio from World Heroes Jet. BUt as far as 2D fighter go, you have to admint that Magneto in X-Men: Children of the Atom was very powerful and awesome to battle (not the stripped down Magneto in the Vs. games).

Most of the best have been said, but the Crimson King and the worm demon in Otogi are brilliant. As much for the music as for the gameplay.
