Most Expensive Games You Own?

Resident Evil 4 demo 5x double sealed. I haven't seen another in existence and I'm considering putting it on eBay in the near future.

Then Chrono Trigger new/sealed worth about $1000 I think.

I have Rage of the Dragons and Matrimelee for the US Neo Geo AES. They go for a couple grand each. That's the highest I have.

Metroid Prime Trilogy (Maybe?) haha.
And 2 CIB copies of Ocarina of Time Collector's Edition and 2 copies of Majora's Mask CIB.
I'm not a collector, I love those games, that's why I still have them.

Nevermind, this is my most valuable game.

  • Nier Automata Black Box Edition (EU/DE)
  • Nobuo Uematsu signed FF VII (US)
  • Yasunori Mitsuda signed Chrono Cross (US)
  • Hiroki Kikuta signed Koudelka (US)
  • Suikoden II (US)

Something like that I guess. The Nier Automata Black Box Edition is worth most probably. Goes on Ebay for 500-1000€.

I have a few worth a decent price.

Spyro Trilogy Collector's Edition PS1 (Sealed)
Tales of Destiny II PS1 (Sealed)
Metroid Prime Trilogy Collector's Edition Wii (Sealed)
Dark Cloud 2 PS2 (Sealed)
Valkyria Chronicles 3 JPN (Sealed)
Skies of Arcadia MINT Gamecube
Nier Automata Black Box Edition (Can you believe the figurine alone is like $500?)

to name a few.

well it was mint conkers bad fur day for N64 until someone stole it. I believe it was the comcast rep. oh well. He took the cartridge only, left the box and manual.

I think most of my sealed collectors editions.
Like Tales Of Xillia 1 & 2, Tales of Symphonia Chronicles, Tales of Zestiria and Tales of Berseria.

Also got some Collectors Editions of Ys games.
Or my sealed Love is Over edition of Catherine for PS3.

I think my most expensive games are both Lunar games for PS1 in their complete edition in near mint condition. Maybe also Dragon Quest 5 for DS or Xenosaga III (still sealed) for PS2.

Oh yeah I also have a mint, brand new Color TV game 6 (CTG-6S).

Still in the individual shipping box.

No idea on value but I've never seen another one in new condition...

Grab a cart and you're back in business then, the box is the majority of the value for most of these things.

Dude....wtf?

Comcast rep? Are you kidding me? Fuck Comcast.

Yup. Shitty part is i didn't even find out about it till months later when i was going through my games, cleaning the boxes and all that. I knew it was him right away because he was looking at my N64 collection on display and he seemed pretty surprised that i still had all the boxes/manuals for all of them. I usually trust ppl and leave them alone to finish their work. But never again.

Probably Haunting Ground/Demento for PS2...got it for around $80 bucks used on eBay two or three years ago (the kicker is, it didn't even come with a manual :[ )

Probably Fire Emblem Fates Special Edition. For only regular editions it'd probably be one of Prime Trilogy, Xenoblade Chronicles, or Pokemon Soul Silver.

Megaman X3
When I checked years ago it was $100 , just checked and its worth 250 now.
My dad bought it for me at an outdoor swapmeet for probably a few bucks about 15 years ago

Mr. Gimmick PAL B version for the NES. I've seen it on eBay for around $1000.00.

(not my image)

I have the manual as well.

I've got a couple of other rare-ish games like Bubble Bobble Part 2 and Little Samson for the NES.

Definitely Earthbound. I was so lucky back then when I got the cartridge for $30 or $40 off of eBay. Shortly after that prices skyrocketed for 100-200 bucks for the cartridge alone.

I did find out a few years ago that I actually have quite the collection of valuable games, especially GameCube games. Fire Emblem Path of Radiance and Skies of Arcadia Legends are two others that regularly fetch prices above the $100 mark. Ikaruga always sits at around $40-80.

I also could make some mad dough on my NES Classic Mini, but that will never leave my hands.

EDIT: Oh right, I also have the Legend of Zelda Collection for GameCube. And I hear that the Limited Edition (or first print run) of Zelda Wind Waker is worth a pretty penns because of the Ocarina of Time/Master Quest bonus disc.

Hmm. I have an unopened Skyward Sword with golden Wiimote...somewhere in my parent's house.

Also have unopened FE Awakening 3DS and unopened FE Fates CE.

I doubt I have anything more expensive than that, though it seems my Earthbound cart is getting up there

Probably Smash Melee, The Last Story LE, Shenmue, Zelda collection for Gamecube or a mint copy of Akumajou Densetsu for the Famicom.

Most expensive single purchase would have been FFXV ultimate collectors editions, yikes I see the value for that has tanked oof.

Most valuable, well it seems that Nier Automata Black Box CE is appreciating as the days go by.

Dead Space Ultra Limited edition

Rule of Rose and Haunting Ground, both in excellent condition and complete with manuals/cover arts

Op, do you mean "expensive" as in "worth the most" or "cost me the most to buy"?

If the former, probably a toss-up between Wonder 3 Arcade Gears on PS1 (I've always wanted the Saturn version, but that's never happening lol) and Saturn The Game Tengoku LE (the one with the video tape included) - no, wait, I forgot I own Cotton 2 on Saturn! That'll be the one, then. For the future, i'm hoping that my Wii U and 3DS LEs will come through for me, because they all deserve to be highly sought after collectables, even if they're not fated to be.

As for most expensive to buy? I did buy Sengoku Blaede [sic] for £95 last year, so there's that. I think that's the most I ever payed for a single game.

Crystal Screen G&W Balloon Fight boxed
Multiple copies of both Shenmue games
PD Saga
A bunch of the rarer PAL Castlevania games
and a prototype cartridge of Trip World

I'm not a full-on collector (I only buy what I want to actually play), but I have built up a nice collection over the years, but my main rule is never go over €200,- fo any one game. This is only reserved for games I really want and have no realistic other way of obtaining (I don't do emulation).

With that in mine I ended up buying a complete in box and close to mint Earthbound about 12 years ago for what I then thought was the ridiculously high price of €200,- It ended up being both a great investment as well as one of my all-time favorite games, that I still proudly own. Looking at pricecharting, it's worth around €800,- and I rarely see one in great condition like mine is.

Outside of Earthbound: Panzer Dragoon Saga (PAL, not quite as highly valued as the NTSC one), Chrono Trigger mint, FFIII mint, Demon's Crest, Rondo of Blood, Cubivore, and lots more €100-ish games like Phantasy Star IV, Winds of Thunder, Fire Emblem Radiant Dawn etc.

i think the only two Worth something are MGS Pal Premium Edition
(this one:

)

and Persona 5 take your heart edition...

Probably Steel Battalion for Xbox or MUSHA for Genesis followed by my MVS Super Dodgeball kit.

The only one of the 3 I've paid full price for was steel battalion at the original $200. Musha was $15 MIB at GameStop and super dodgeball was $100 from the Neo store.

I think I have three copies of Conker's for N64, Metroid Prime Trilogy, FFVII PAL original mint condition, Vagrant Story PAL original mint condition. Nothing earlier than those days unfortunately!

As I game boy "complete in box" collector I have some pretty rare and valuable games. One of them is Castlevania II: Belmont's Revenge

Other valuable games in my collection:

- Mega Man 1, 2 and IV
- Kid Icarus: Of Myths and Monsters
- The Flintstones King Rock Treasure Island
- Probotector 1 and 2
- R-Type II
- Battletoads vs Double Dragon

and many more :)

Maybe Ibara for the PS2. That goes for around £125, I think? I don't think I have anything else that goes for over the £100 mark.

Probably Conker's Bad Fur Day with manual and box. My tastes do not lead to super valuable stuff in my possession I guess.
