I can't believe that the worst serial killer recorded was released and is currently loose in the world after killing over 300 small children.

The fuck is wrong with this world.

Haha, took me a while. Awesome.

Dean Corll

Dean Arnold Corll (December 24, 1939 – August 8, 1973) was an American serial killer, also known as the "Candy Man" and the "Pied Piper" who, together with two youthful accomplices named David Brooks and Elmer Wayne Henley, abducted, raped, tortured and murdered a minimum of 28 boys in a series of killings spanning from 1970 to 1973 in Houston, Texas. The crimes, which became known as the Houston Mass Murders, came to light only after Henley shot and killed Corll.

Corll was known as both the Candy Man and the Pied Piper due to the fact that he and his family had owned and operated a candy factory in the Heights and he had been known to give free candy to local children.

At the time of their discovery, the Houston Mass Murders were considered the worst example of serial murder in American history.

He had two teenage accomplices who would lure their own neighbors and friends to be raped, tortured, and murdered.

Despite the revelations that Corll was, in reality, killing the boys whom he and Brooks had assisted in abducting, Henley nonetheless became an active participant in the abductions and murders. Within one month, on April 20, 1972, he assisted Corll in the abduction of another youth, a 17-year-old friend of his named Mark Scott. Scott was grabbed by force and fought furiously against attempts by Corll to secure him to the torture board, even attempting to stab his attackers. However, Scott saw Henley pointing a pistol towards him and, according to Brooks, Mark "just gave up." Scott was tied to the torture board and suffered the same fate as Aguirre: rape, torture, strangulation and burial at High Island Beach.

Imagine one of your friends doing that to you.

This Texas Monthly article on him is chilling.

Another one from this article (Warning: That article has links to photographs of victims. The link itself is safe, just don't click on photo links provided there.)

Javed Iqbal Mughal

Iqbal found boys on the street, charmed them into his confidence, and then drugged, raped, and strangled them. He then cut the body into pieces and put them in a vat filled with hydrochloric acid. Once all of the remains were liquified, he dumped them. He first used the sewer, until neighbors complained of an acrid stench. He then decided to use the Ravi River. The partially liquified remains of two boys, one of whom was named Ijaz, were the only ones found of IqbalÂ’s victims. He kept the rest in an acid drum outside his house. He also kept clothing and shoes as trophies of his crimes. When he got to his fiftieth victim, he started taking pictures of them.

I remember his case. Sick fuck.

Man... the Dnepropetrovsk Maniacs... Just reading about that was awful. I am so glad I never came across that hammer video.

Also, it is crazy that Albert Fish was mentioned so many times at the start of the thread. I had only just heard of the guy last month when I was required to do a little journal entry on him.

probably offtopic but if we talk about evil dudes.. nothing beats Khmers in Vietnam and i don't mean war. I mean how they ruled in Vietnam.

They killed 1/4 of their own people. They also didn't allow for any family structures. So whole familes were devided and indoctrynized. Can't find interview. Houlocaust on Judes looking at what Khmer did looks more like mercykilling than genocide.

I'd agree the Pol Pot/Khmers and Imperial Japanese methods of mass torture and genocide made the Germans look nice...which is insane. These people perfected and refined the art of human destruction. Unit 731 itself was a horrific example, Rape of Nanking too.

I watched part of a documentary on serial killers a few days ago and I am terrified of going to sleep now. I also now hear every little noise outside.

And there's nothing you can do. If they want you, they'll have you...

I'm a bit surprised, two years ago I was pretty much the only one who would post about Albert Fish in threads like these. Now he seems to be mentioned in every other post. What happened? Has there been a documentary about him recently?

Everyone must have recently had a class with one of my professors from this semester.

I know some of them are seriously fucked up too since they used their gender and occupations to lure people in.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amelia_Dyer

What Amelia Dyer did was not unusual back then. Though usually the parents knew what would happen to the child when they left it to a woman like this. In Sweden their name was "Änglamakerska" (Angel maker). The parents would leave their child to an Angel maker, knowing full well that she will turn their baby into an angel, meaning that she will let the child die through neglect or murder it outright soon after she recieves the child. From what my colleagues has told me it was mainly poor families who would leave their baby to these women when they couldn't afford to provide for one more child.

I still think Jack The Ripper is still one of the most terrifying serial murderers ever. The biggest reason is that he was surgical in nature with his victims but at the same time brutally mutilated thier bodies. That and we truly do not know his identity and that there could be lots more of his victims and we will never know.

I watched this doc on CH4 in the UK a few weeks ago.

I was so intrigued i keep going to the websleuths website every so often to find any updates on Shannans cause of death.

Sad. Was supposed to be cleaning the house before the wife got home... Ended up watching the whole thing.

Sane people will never understand what goes on in a killers mind, if we did we'd probably turn out just like them.

I must have I have an unhealthy fascination with reading up on serial killers. It intrigues me.

And this thread taught me theres a city called Truth or Consequences which is completely awesome

Funny fact: John Wayne Gacy called band The Mentally Ill as the sickest thing he has ever heard when they send him "Gacy's Place" 7" :P

In terms of sheer brutality I have Fish 1, David Parker Ray 2. Ray would keep his victims alive for days, even WEEKS torturing them.

I was just reading two articles on David Parker Ray. From what I've gathered Ray was accused of multiple murders by accomplices but the police never found any bodies and he never admitted to any murders. He did abduct and torture women, but the few who testified against him were let go and they proved to be very poor witnesses. In my mind it's a question wheter he should be called a serial killer at all when there's no actual evidence he murdered multiple women.

Thing thing about Fish is no matter how messed up serial killers are in fictional horror movies, they never come close to this guys life and the way he was. It's just not something you could make up.

Also his last words in the electric chair "I don't even know why I'm here.".

Some of the people listed on the Most Evil wikipage have some...inventive explanations for events:
At Heidnik's arraignment, he claimed that the women [kept in his basement as sex slaves] were already in the house when he moved in.
During the third week of the trial, Gacy's defense team attempted to raise the possibility that all 33 murders were accidental erotic asphyxia deaths
Taking the stand in his own defense, Einhorn claimed that Maddux was murdered by CIA agents who attempted to frame Einhorn for the crime due to Einhorn's investigations on the Cold War and "psychotronics".

I don't think they were let go, they escaped. The one stabbed one of the people in the neck with an icepick and ran away naked.

From what I've seen on him like the one MSNBC special I have a hard time believing he didn't kill multiple people even if only from accidentally torturing them too much.

Because of this thread, if for whatever reason government officials check my history for the last few hours, I'll probably have an issue.

Checked and haven't seen Robert Pickton mentioned. He is a recent Vancouver area serial killer who may have killed around 50 people. Read about it here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robert_Pickton

He pretty much picked up prostitutes and fed them to his pigs. The police kind of botched that one and should have caught him sooner than they did.

Another Vancouver area serial killer who in fact died recently is Clifford Olsen.

EDIT: Oh ya and I forgot to mention that Pickton, though he will stay in jail the rest of his life, actually only got convicted on murder two charges and not murder one. I remember now that a ton of people were pissed off and how it added to my belief that juries fucking suck.

This guy always shit me up.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Donald_Henry_Gaskins

Read his book when I was young, and the bit that made me laugh/cry was when he described being whipped as a kid.
Hoisted up on the branch of a tree.
And when he revolved round so his mother and father could see him, he had a raging hard-on.
Seriously it says that shit in the book, after that I half believed everything he was confessing to his autobiographer.
Still, some messed up shit.

Donald Harvey

Harvey is notable for having kept his crimes from coming to light for over 17 years. The true extent of his crimes may never be known, since so many were undetected for so long. Harvey is also notable for having used numerous methods to kill, such as arsenic; cyanide; insulin; suffocation; miscellaneous poisons; morphine; turning off ventilators; administration of fluid tainted with hepatitis B and/or HIV (which resulted in a hepatitis infection, but no HIV infection, and illness rather than death); insertion of a coat hanger into a catheter, causing an abdominal puncture and subsequent peritonitis. Cyanide and arsenic were his favorite methods, with Harvey administering them via food, injection, or IV.

The majority of Harvey's crimes took place at the Marymount Hospital in London, Kentucky, the Cincinnati V.A. Medical Hospital, and Cincinnati's Drake Memorial Hospital. While working there, Harvey acquired the nickname "The Angel of Death", as it was noted that he was present around a number of patients who later died.

I can't remember the name, but there was a serial killer who was sentenced to death by guillotine. The day when he was brought in front of it, he was excited and told the executioner he wanted to know what it felt like to have your head cut off. He was also hoping he wouldn't die instantly so he could look up from the basket and see his decapitated body or something similar.

The website I read it on was called crime library, I think this is the website in its current form: http://www.trutv.com/library/crime/serial_killers/index.html

Or why not a quote from Carl Panzram, a man who had suffered abuse (beatings, rape, torture) since he was a child and grew into one of the most remorseless killers modern society has seen:

On the day of his execution in Leavenworth Federal Penitentiary in 1930, he ran happily up the gallows steps, spit in the executioner's face and yelled: "Hurry up you bastard, I could kill ten men while you're fooling around!"

A lot of serial killers are good at getting rid of bodies, I think he was too organized and too methodical to NOT have killed multiple people. Most serial killers don't become that extreme all in one go. My guess is the torturing and killing evolved over a long time with many victims. Plus, my guess is his goal was to inflict maximum pain for a long time, he probably killed some of the women too quickly for his taste early on till he got better at it.

Remember too he lived in New Mexico. A lot of desert out there to dump a body in.

EDIT:

In all David Parker Ray was responsible for the deaths of anywhere from 14-60 people. He claims to have killed at least one person per year during his reign of terror, but we will never know for sure as direct evidence is lacking.

So, definitely a serial killer.

I would have to say the Dnepropetrovsk Maniacs, I wanted to post a picture but the only one I could find has a dead cat hanging in the background.

Jesus. I remember randomly finding that hammer video on some website years ago, and I clicked it to see what it was. My mind was quickly filled with fuck.

Anyway, came to post Fish, but it's already been taken care of. That man was completely fucking nuts.

I just read the wiki page for fish.

I want to bleach my brain.

His descriptions gave me such a duplicitous reaction because they were so vile and unnerving that it felt like something like that or the character he seemed to be could only come from a movie, yet I knew that real life is 1000 times worse than any film could or would ever depict.
