MotioninJoy USB/BlueTooth Sixaxis/DS3 Drivers now Certified & Signed!

sorry to bump this, does anyone know if the chatpad works with the PC as well, it would be great if I can map some extra buttons on Crysis

Sweet! This is great for emulating older PSX, Xbox, and DC games I have lying around.

I'm also using it to be Civ5 and The Operational Art of War (instead of a mouse). This way I plug it into the TV via HDMI and bigcomfystratgeygamecouch! lol Is this even possible if the game has no joystick support, to just treat the controller like a mouse?

Hmm I don't know, but it could act like a mouse for the desktop. I had the controller take over the mouse cursor.

aww fuck so it goes straight into mouse mode, I was hoping that doesn't happen and I can just use the buttons

EDIT: were you talking about the PS3 keypad (chatpad)

I was talking about the post above me. I don't have a chat pad so I don't know.

To answer my own question, yes you can use the PS3 keypad at the same time just as long as you have a bluetooth connection on your PC. This should be quite handy for those PC games that require extra buttons (just remap the buttons close to your thumb (next to square, triangle, up, right)

video tutorial of how to pair a PS3 keypad (remember you need bluetooth on the PC, or get a bluetooth dongle their cheap)

EDIT: the trackpad on the video is quite shitty but I heard it can be calibrated properly

does anyone have a recommendation for a bluetooth adapter that works with win 7 64 bit? I don't have one yet, so I figured I'd try to buy one that I know will work.

lol $1.80
I bought that on ebay for a 99c like 2 years ago

Oh well, I'm trying to stay away from Chinese/HK products now though

Do you use that? If so, does it actually work without issue?

used it with my old dell for 2 years without a problem, that whole site is perfect for the small things. places in US and UK overcharge

I've still never gotten this to work. The bluetooth adapter on my mobo won't pick up the controller and the forums say I should overwrite the drivers with some made by them but this seems a bit unwise to me. Advice?

Yeah, I'm on the market for a BT adapter as well. It's all I really need right now to play on my TV, which would be pretty awesome.

<3 MotioninJoy. Not only did it save me $40 which I would have had to spend on a 360 controller, but it allows you to fully remap the controls. No more shootin' with L2/R2!

Works fine here. Also use it with a Wii remote.

This is stupid because especially in technology it's all about the internals of devices, not how the plastic surrounding it is branded.

wired or wireless?

Have you reset the controller?

It's a sixaxis controller, have it plugged in using the usb cable it came with.

I have tried resetting the controller a few times, still no luck.

When I check out the gamepad settings, it shows me moving the analog sticks around and the buttons are working.

And I trusted name branded factories over smaller ones. I pay premium for premium products... well, within reason... no apple, alienware.. or well, any prebuilt PC's.

This might seem like a really stupid question, but could I use the bluetooth dongle from my Mouse/Keyboard pair to pick up the bluetooth signal from my PS3 controller? No big deal if not, I have been playing wired all this time anyway.

If you're sure it's a bluetooth dongle, then yes.

I get several random BSOD with the signed driver on Win7 x64, it seems that if you have an xbox 360 pad connected you may get a BSOD, if I remove the xbox controller from the PC then it works more or less ok, doesn't look very stable to me.

I get crashes whenever I have my DS3 connected and come out of sleep mode. But thats what you get with homemade drivers that can't afford to properly test and develop them for the wide number of configs and conditions you get on the PC. But hey at least they're signed now which makes me happy enough I love using my DS3 for PC games.

Yay now I can stop booting windows in test modus:p
(cba turning off UAC)

By the way for all the people psyched about xbox360 emulation and plug n play and whatnot, you do realise that ds3tool already had full 360 pad emulation including rumble and analog sticks , and games that supported 360 pad auto config would do just that.

You've been missing out.

those $1-2 bluetooth adapters have issues... yes they do work sometimes but many times do not depending on sleep mode and combination of hardware and software on your system

i'm giving up on this :(

My sixaxis isn't being recognized at all in motionjoy yet it works normally if i try it with left4dead 2 (pretty crappy though).

Also my pc hangs whenever i try shutting down.

my Windows 7 32bit is telling me that the driver file isn't 32bit. or rather, the one i point it to reports it "can't find any 32bit drivers" and to check again.

-downloaded the x86 version
-definitely using 32bit W7
-plugged it in and let it auto install
-ran the .exe in the zip
-it did NOT automatically try to install the driver like the guide says
-tried doing it manually through device manager and when i point it to the driver file tells me it's not 32bit

not sure what im doing wrong. is the 60001 version not signed? the above 2 versions say they are for BT only.

You don't have to install anything through the device manager. In the DS3Tool go to Driver Manager then click Install All or Load Driver

the tutorial im following said to do it through there if the exe didn't prompt to install the new driver automatically.

also: the driver manager page in DS3 tool is blocked at work, for whatever reason. only that page. home screen is fine.

i figured out that i had to make sure "USB device" was always selected when trying to update the driver through device manager (because i guess the HID compliant game device wasn't the correct option....?) and got the driver manually installed, but it still won't show up in the DS3 tool, so i guess until i can find alternate internet connection to use so i can load up the driver manager i won't be able to fully install or test it. =\

thanks for the help though! sorry to bump.

the above 2 versions don't say they are BT only, they merely list which BT devices they work with based on Device ID.

ahh okay, cool. i was misinterpreting the bad english i guess.

the wiki tutorials are much better btw.

Been rocking this out ever since I got the adapter I mentioned in March. The REALLY ANNOYING part is having to enable 360 pad support every time. Is there a way to make the 360 pad the default input and not the motionjoy controller piece it? My son loves to play some Lego and Star Wars games but if I'm not home to set up the controller every time, he can't. I really hope there's a solutions since I use a pad for about 70% of my games.

My bluetooth controller isn't compatible it seems and I don't like the idea of having to connect to that internet program every time I want to use is, so still rocking the 2nd USB drivers here. Combined with joy2key, there's pretty much nothing they can't do

http://tamamyikesu.web.fc2.com/sd_devicedriver.html

There is shaky Bluetooth support as well, though it's not perfect yet as there's a random latency bug. Who knows, maybe it'll get fixed one day.

Can someone give me the correct button configuration to the Dualshock 3? I'm trying to use it to play Darksiders with it on Steam, but the camera control is mapped to the R2 in Motionjoy. It'll take me a while to map them all correctly.

I second this

Does Darksiders not have native 360 controller support? For almost all modern games you can just choose the 360 Controller Emulation option and be good to go.

Thanks for the reply

Anyone know what's up with Hoard? Bought it during the daily sale on Steam and the game is just completely refusing to take any input from my Dual Shock 3, whether I'm using 360 emulation or other settings.

Doesn't work for me. When I choose the 360 controller emulation the start button is mapped to the triangle so every other button has the wrong configuration.

so I just installed MotioninJoy and it works perfectly!

however, I was tinkering a bit to see which games I can play with it and decided to try Darksiders, Im using this 360pad emu that people were suggesting before, but when I enabled 360 emulation in the MotioninJoy settings, it somehow broke my settings and my pc suddenly can't detect my PS3 controller. Luckily, I was able to reset my settings and got everything working, but the 360pad emu I was using for Darksiders suddenly can't detect it. Everything else was working though, any ideas on what the problem might be?

Im having a bit of a problem with motionjoy, and I was wondering if someone here might be able to figure out a solution. When I install the software it removes microsoft's bluetooth software, which means I am no longer able to pair my wiimote with dolphin, which only accepts MS's stack. Is there a fix or an alternative I could use? I tried winds3, but it gave me an error (devcon failed).
Any help will be greatly appreciated, I just want to play brawl with my bro, gaf.

How do I uninstall this? I switched to a 360 controller and the Motionjoy driver is causing weird conflicts. I tried removing the driver in Device Manager, even telling it to delete the driver completely, yet it somehow magically reinstalls itself on reboot.
