Yeah, the Fallout numbers were, and still are extremely dubious.Oblivion said:(Don't worry, people were suspicious of SCIV's and Fallout 3's sales as well)
Agreed, but I don't think I'd even make the distinction of "arcade."Jim said:Pretty much my personal arcade racing game of the generation so far, so *applause*
Well who can blame them? It's certainly news to me that games can sell well in spite of not appearing on sales charts.Doc Evils said:but gaf told me this game bombed...
Flyguy said:Oh, sillymonkey. The lack of charts was clearly addressed:
That wasn't actually in the original interview. Was just a stupid comment that the linked site in the OP added.sillymonkey321 said:Uh, addressing the charts would be noting the numbers sold and then saying where the difference came from imo, not just saying " charts aren't everything" then throwing out 1mil sold world wide.
I bought one of these babies and I'm not from the Netherlands. AFAIK this an official european bundle.Onix said::\
iirc, that came out after the release, and is only in the Netherlands.

Kusagari said:I doubt it's even sold 400k worldwide. This is pure spin based off Sony shoveling tons of copies into stores. The game hasn't appeared on charts anywhere.

You do when you're on the PS3 where software sales typically are not reaching this point. No one honestly believes this has sold 1 million standalone units, do they? Really?~Devil Trigger~ said:i believe OP address the chart issue...
you dont have to be top Chart to sell alot of anything

Firewire said:I remember many people doubting the original Motorstorm's numbers, and it ended up selling 3-3.5 million.

When you reach a certain rank in the campaign, the AI goes bananas. It will try to destroy you at any cost, it will sacrifice itself if it can take you with it over the cliff. Aggressive AI is okay, suicidal AI is not okay.MikeB said:...but neither if you make a few mistakes in the last lap you end up last if you raced flawlessly before that.
I guarantee it hasn't. Guarantee. If it's sold that many copies, it's ONLY possible through bundling and I still don't believe it. Given the data we have, there is NO WAY possible that this title has sold 1 million standalone units. None.~Devil Trigger~ said:i dont doubt it, and i dont think its impossible

I agree, but who cares? The PR guy's claim isn't that one million people have gone to a store and bought the game off the shelf. He just says they've sold a million, no method specified. I see no reason to disbelieve that.Meier said:I guarantee it hasn't. Guarantee. If it's sold that many copies, it's ONLY possible through bundling and I still don't believe it. MS1 is the best(or one of) selling PS3 title to date, meaning they have a fan base right there, looking forward to their sequel, with pretty much all the improvements they ask for.
Motorstorm PR is not a "typical PS3" game
plus he TV commercials were awsome![]()

I thought it was in Japan. It got released in other regions months later.Oni Jazar said:Motorstorm wasn't a launch game.

I think so, at least no one else has picked up the franchise.Die Squirrel Die said:Do Sony still have the WRC license? I know they let the F1 license go, but I thought there was uncertainity over the WRC as well?
