Movies/Shows/etc That Made You Cry

I don't think I've ever actually cried due to entertainment, but these elicited a huge emotional swell in me.

From Futurama:
The Late Philip J. Fry

Lethal Inspection
Luck of the Fryrish
Lars's story in Bender's Big Score

From The Simpsons:

Lisa's First Word

I get teary eyed in the end of nearly every Ghibli movie, especially the innocent and childish ones like Totoro, Kiki, the Yamadas, Ponyo and Only Yesterday. They're just so damn beautiful. However I could never really feel Grave of the Fireflies; I get too annoyed at the sister to really empathize with them for all the tragedy they experience, I just keep thinking how much easier Seitas life would be if he didn't have a little sister... I guess I'm a horrible person...

Dancer in the Dark.
Didn't make me cry, but damn it made me feel bad; also Breaking the Waves and Dogville; Lars von Tries is an evil but brilliant man

The ending of Toy Story 3
The ending of Band of Brothers
Iron Giant
LOTR:ROTK ending
Grave of the Fireflies

edit: shit, i'm such a cry baby

Fresh Prince, but it's been said already.
Toy Story 3, oh lordy I did not expect to cry at the end.

Pretty much anything having to do with a character's relationship with his/her father will get some emotions out of me. An example of something that always used to get me when I was younger was the ending of Mrs. Doubtfire. It was especially hard because it came out a couple of years after my parents had separated, so that final letter hit extremely close to home.

I finally sat down and watched this movie from beginning to end a couple of months ago (since I had seen the entire movie, but never in one sitting), and there was nothing I could do to stop myself from crying.

Marley and Me. Watched it about a month after I had to put my dog down. Goddammit.

Oh f. Bawled. Like last year while watching with my wife. Just such an accurate representation of the end of a dog's life, and what it's like to take them to the vet to send them to the "Rainbow Bridge". I bawled so hard I was laughing and crying at the same time. God damn ridiculous. Refuse to watch it again. Nor will I watch Hatchi. I'm freaking about to be 33 for God's sake!

Clannad After Story - I cried so much during this show. I watched the entire second half in one sitting and I was a complete mess. I still tear up just thinking about it.
Elfen Lied
Angel Beats
Now and Then, Here and There
DBZ - When goku first meets goten/saying goodbye to him, also when goku's saying bye to gohan when he finishes the mystic training.
Inuyasha - One episode where kagome is crying in her mom's arms.
Frasier - End of the episode "Something borrowed, someone blue pt 1."
Futurama - Seymour
Everybody loves Raymond - The finale, at the hospital.
Kimi ga Nozomu Eien
FFX - Tidas and Yuna at the end.
Valkyria Chronicles
Fruits Basket
SaiKano

So many amazing moments like:

"Everybody leaves me! What's wrong with me?" - Matt Saracen

"I'm goin' to college, Mama." - Smash

"I wanna see my dad." - Matt Saracen

"I did it. I did it all. You did not do anything." - Tim Riggins

"It's time for you to let Tim Riggins come home." - Buddy Garrity

"Tuesdays with Morrie" the book made me cry quite a bit. Is it uncommon to cry over reading material? I've also had teary eyes over a manga (although I would say in this case they were manly tears)—Gundam Sousei, of all things.

There's one anime that made me bawl quite a bit: Legend of Galactic Heroes. On the gaming side, I've shed tears at the end of Shadow of the Colossus.

On another odd note, I almost cried while reading the text of Lyndon Johnson's speech on civil rights, "We Shall Overcome".

First watched The Green Mile whilst in school. Tried my best not to tear up at the ending in front of my class, but eff it, I was in the front row so I let a few unseen tears fly.

Watched it many times since, and even though I can hold back the tears, I still get a little choked up, even now.

My review of :

Bridge to Terabithia

"**** you and your ****ing coming of age classic my ass! You people are ****ing sick!"

UP, the first 15 minutes destroy me anytime I watch it

The music, the happiness, the joy...then the sorrow ; ;

Big Fish. I was alright until the end, the last scene made cry so so hard

Saving Private Ryan
- The ending sequence of Tom Hanks last hoorah! and the inevitable "Tell me I lived a good life..."

"Tell me I've lived a good life. Tell me I'm a good man."

This fucking knocked the wind out of me the first time I saw Saving Private Ryan, and it only gets more powerful every time I see it.

never have... pisses off my girlfriend to no end

not gonna lie though the futurama episode with the dog got me closest.

One of my very earliest memories is of watching a VHS copy of Dumbo. I barely remember the film, all I know is that is about an elephant and there's some kids and it fuckjng depressed the hell out of me. For me, that movie = sadness. Haven't watched it since. I must have been 3 at the time.

Yeah, I almost teared up at the mere mention of this. For all the hate that the "bookend" scenes get, I think they're set up well and are quite moving. I don't know how many more rewatches I can take without just bawling at the end there.

I tear up during the 'you bow to noone' scene in Return of the King lolol

I don't find the emotional Simpsons moments sad at all but they are really nice. No other animated series has done that for me (including Futurama and King of the Hill). Simpsons just goes hard in the paint, that maggie episode was sogood.
