Armageddon. Dark Knight Rises. Yeah Hulk 2003, good one whoever mentioned that. Jurrasic World was good fun. Return if the Jedi also best Star Wars.

Street Fighter is a genius parody of Jean-Claude Van Damme films that is trashed by nerds who don't get that it's intentionally a comedy.

Battleship is cool as hell. And it had Thunderstruck playing while they set up a museum to be a fighting machine again. It has the museum doing a Toyko drift before blasting the fuck out of aliens and it had Liam Neeson.

You have my fucking sword. FUCK YES THEY JUST DRIFTED A BATTLESHIP WHILE AC/DC PLAYED I DON'T CARE THAT IT'S DUMB AS FUCK.

"LET'S DROP SOME LEAD ON THESE MUDDA...."

Yeah, Battleship rules. It's what Transformers wishes it could be.

Except for that whole box office thing. Bay's got that one.

Bicentennial Man

The internet has tried to convince me over and over that it's a boring slog. I don't care. I love it.

I love this movie, and it only gets better over time. So many great lines.

Raul Julia is genuinely fantastic in this film and you can see he was having fun with the role.

Baseketball

It's been a few years though and Matt and Trey mostly just annoy me anymore so I doubt I'll revisit it.

I went to high school with the guy who played Squeak, Dian Bachar. I love me some Baseketball.

I thought the 2011 prequel to The Thing was pretty great, setting aside a few cheesy special effects.

Another one I agree with.

Ep2 is the best Star Wars.

BvS is the best comic book movie.

WS is the best Paul Anderson.

Yeaahhhhh, we have a winner.

Roland Emmerich's Godzilla from 1998. I won't claim it's good, but I enjoy it. Or I did 15+ years ago, anyway.

Hmm, now I know not to argue with you about movie stuff.

Everyone I've talked to about Interstellar hates it. They are bad people.
"Love is the one thing we're capable of perceiving that transcends dimensions of time and space!"

The movie endorses emotional logic and puts sentiment on a lofty pedestal. It could have had a similar message about the power of compelling human connections without making bonkers claims about the physical reality of its universe.

Spectacular music and space imagery though.

death proof.

at least a top-five tarantino movie for me, yet the world (including tarantino himself) seems to have near-unanimously agreed it's his worst. i thought it was a great throwback that stripped out everything inessential.

also: apocalypto.

i legit think apocalypto is the greatest action movie of the 21st century. now i don't know if it quite fits the thread, because most people that have seen it do seem to like it (if not quite as much as me), but i think the vast majority of people out there assume it sucks and won't even think about seeing it. it came out right around peak mel-gibson-being-a-racist-dick time, which certainly didn't help.

but it's incredible. one of the most intense chase movies ever made, managing to be intimate and low key at the same time as staggeringly epic. anyone who liked the way mad max fury road doesn't let up would straight-up love apocalypto, and i'd be shocked if george miller wasn't influenced by this movie given his connection to gibson. it's fury road on foot in the jungle.

Same.

Not only real, but informed.

I used to write reviews for the Chicago Tribune, was taught by Roger Ebert, and graduated from NYU film.
Jesus. One more sign that education isn't the universal remedy I'd like to think it is.

Is this a troll...?

I like it a good bit. Major props on actually doing those car stunts.

Same.

I am about to graduate with a film studies minor. You encounter all types.

Kung Pow. I know it's internet famous, but all my friends hate it.

I don't think I've ever met anyone else who likes Down With Love.

Pootie Tang is a hilarious movie. I firmly believe the people who don't like it just aren't willing to let themselves "get" something so stupid.

Please tell me your sister was going out with Squeak. What a psych out that would be.

Naw man I'm an only child. But we did do some shows and improv together and he wrote in my yearbook some flattering stuff so I'm satisfied.

I was sad most of his big scenes in GalaxyQuest were snipped. Watch the deleted scenes!
