May or may not count... but you might want to throw in House of the Dead 2+3 Return for the Wii...Fady K said:Ill wait for Capcom first.
But if true, then boy, this will be a wonderful year for horror games.
Silent Hill 5, Resident Evil 5, Alone in the Dark 5, and...thats a lot of 5s...but still, three flagship horror series. Ill gladly buy.
in 2008 the hits will continue to come with exclusives including Halo Wars, Too Human, Fable 2, Alan Wake, Splinter Cell: Conviction, and several exciting yet-to-be-announced titles.
Xbox 360 will be home to the next versions of great franchises like

That would be nice. I was really looking forward to this game, but the lack of info and footage have taken away my hype.Blimblim said:Alan Wake will supposedly be a big showcase at the GDC next month.
Damn. Well so much for MS having inside info.Lightning said:Capcom rep on the Capcom forums says this:
Official answer: There is no news regarding the release date of Resident Evil 5. In fact, there is no news at all in regards to anything Resident Evil 5 yet.
Non-official answer: I highly doubt that you'll see it this year. In fact, you can almost bet on that. Besides, why would you want to see it released early? Released later = more time to work on it = better game. Pray for a later release than an early one.
Odds of 2008 release are VERY slim, I would say definitely not. No matter what MS says.

Yeah where is the confirmation again?IzumiK said:MS doesn't make RE5.
Sweet.
This growth, however, is not limited to just Microsoft and Xbox 360. The work that you do is also driving growth throughout our industrys entire ecosystem. History has shown that the eventual winner of each console generation was the console that generated the most 3rd party revenue, and according to the most recent NPD data, Xbox 360 generated more 3rd party revenue in 2007 than Nintendo and Sony combined.
Scene It? Lights, Camera, Action has already achieved its total FY08 revenue budget in just two months, helping establish a new franchise for the Xbox 360 that reaches out to a broad audience of social gamers
In 2008 the hits will continue to come with exclusives including Halo Wars, Too Human, Fable 2, Alan Wake, Splinter Cell: Conviction, and several exciting yet-to-be-announced titles. Xbox 360 will be home to the next versions of great franchises like Grand Theft Auto and Resident Evil, and we will continue to be the leading choice for sports fans, with the next editions of Madden and FIFA looking and playing better on our platform.

Interesting stuf.
Its the only reason I'm upgrading to Vista.WrikaWrek said:Remedy rocks, Max Payne 1&2 are two of the best action games ever, so it's safe to say that i'm very excited for it. Hopefully it's as good as their previous work, and MS will push it hard.

Alan Wake Slips to 2009?
Written Tuesday, January 08, 2008 by Dan Webb
Just when you thought 2008 was going great, then you hear a whisper, true or not, we're not sure yet, that brings the virtual world crashing around you. On Sunday, Dean Takahashi posted Microsofts Don Mattrick's memo which was sent out to the troops.
In it, it specifically states that Alan Wake will see light of day in 2008 amongst other titles. Don says
'In 2008 the hits will continue to come with exclusives including Halo Wars, Too Human, Fable 2, Alan Wake, Splinter Cell: Conviction, and several exciting yet-to-be-announced titles.'
Look past the "several exciting yet-to-be-announced titles" part for now which certainly intrigued us and you will notice 2008 and Alan Wake in the same sentence. Something we haven't seen for 12 months now.
Today, however, the question is, are our hopes to be smashed already? Well, if we are to believe JeuxFrance.com, then yes. They report that an insider at Finnish development outfit Remedy has already said that we should expect to see the title in 2009. Oh dear... Oh dear indeed.

pretty much. But seriously after seeing what they've shown of Re 5 so far, id say its very possible for it to be just as good.beelzebozo said:being knee deep in a replay on professional confirms the answer is no. equip the starships and let us find other worlds with the wisdom to create such a prodigious paragon of gaming badditude
I think Alan Wake has definitely fallen into the pit of long development. They are probably scrambling to bring the graphics up from where they were years ago so that it doesnt look dated.Dabanton said:
