Heh. This is exactly what that small niche crowd needed to go into obsession mode.

Think about it. These were already "collectable." Now, they're rare and out of print.

Expect to start seeing these on ebay for stupid prices soon.

That's the only one I've wanted, but it's been too expensive on the rare occasion I'd seen it on ebay. :( I have a slim now, so I stopped looking.

i couldnt find any by the time my memory card ports where acting weird, guess i never will find one to fix that now :lol
 
They always seemed like an expensive waste to me. Plus they clashed with the rest of the console.

I wouldn't mind having the Deathsmiles one though.
 
I always wanted one, never cared about the 15 buck prices fr sale on the internet (they were never released on my country).

I "designed" a Sonic one on some stupid contest Major Nelson had running, it came out awesome (it was the SEGAAAA sprite from the beginning of Sonic 1 with Sonic blazing past it).

That one would've been cool.
 
I got 2 free faceplates for my preorder of Eternal Sonata. It was only supposed to be one, but the Gamestop clerk was awesome and gave me 2.

I have the one that came w/ Deathsmiles, but that's it... and it's still in the box.

That PGR3 one that EK posted is the best one I've seen.
 
I really wanted one but I never saw one that i liked and the price was too high. Plus, I wanted to change the whole outer shell more than just the face.

Oh yeah, that was a faceplate that was only sent to Gamestop managers. They were individually numbered and everything. I think there were only like 5,000 or so of them made.

Which one? I have the one that the Gamestop managers got with Big Daddy. I got it off ebay. There was also a sketchy version and the Bioshock 2 one.
 
That Death Smiles faceplate is worse than the 4 launch face plates. I can't imagine what your bedroom/living room looks like if that fits in with the decor.
 
I bought an Ace Combat 6 one. I don't know, once you have one you really like, I don't see much reason to buy more.

Have all of them, but only used the Middle one. Why did Namco only make on horizontal one :/
 
Oh dang, I like the Blue Dragon one! I should have my girl paint me one, can you buy blanks for cheap or are they just as spendy as the "decorated" ones?
 
Nobody bought them because Microsoft made a few types for launch, ran out of stock and never bothered to make more. Plus they were all fucking garbage, aside from as a joke who would actually want a woodgrain faceplate?

All the ones that people actually wanted were all pre-order bonuses, competition prizes, employee only, or part of ultra-limited edition console bundles in Japan. Of course nobody is going to give you any damn money for them if you can't be bothered to offer them for sale.
 
My 360 is in a closet, so a faceplate would just be useless. I was supposed to get one when I bought Call of Duty 2 at Best Buy, but those bastards never gave it to me.

I sold a bunch of Eternal Sonata face plates on Ebay that my buddy from Gamestop gave me. He was like "Here, these were all left over at the store". I wish I remember what they sold for, but it must have been high enough to make it worth me going to the post office.
 
Never had one. Watching the neat ones shown in this thread, I'm even more pissed off because the ones that did appear around here were shit.

I bought this one at a local game store for about $15. Never end up using it as it doesn't match the white casing of the 360 and make the whole system look cheap and childish. It makes me feel like I am looking at a giant ad of the game :lol

Good for collectible though.
 
My brother sent in his xbox I think twice for RROD and each time they sent him it back with a new white faceplate on it. He is an artist, so he painted on them. They look pretty cool.

It was a neat little option.
 
I had the Viva Pinata one on there because my gf and I like Viva Pinata and it was 99 cents at EBGames one time.
 
I had one of the Ace Combat ones that came with the Flight Stick Bundle, but I sold that here on GAF. (Actually I bought it on GAF and I think the guy I sold it to resold it :lol )

I somehow got a free Silver one from Gamestop once.

I had one of the rare Bioshock ones only sent to Gamestop managers (through a friend), was gonna sell it on Ebay but the prices started to drop. My friend has it now.

Never went directly out and bought one though.
