MS wants us to play more Crackdown?

I suspect we wil see that oft rumored 16 player Crackdown.1.5 and MS will also announce Crackdown 2 for 2010.

Fingers crossed.:D

Holy Shit, 16 player online would force me to get XBox Live Gold again!

It never got DLC did it?

Are you joking.

ARE YOU JOKING ??

It got the BEST DLC EVER.

Especially the paid one. I had bought it just out of pure love for the game, not expecting anything other than gimmicks, but it was actually full of awesome ideas regarding the game, and not just lol-upgrades to existing things.

Invisibility is a really clever way to acknowledge the jump-in jump-out nature of the gunfights, harpoon gun is the best weapon ever (I'm not joking, who needs such things as "other games" when I have the one where you can drive around in a city with like 12 ennemies harpooned to my car flowing in the wind like birthday balloons ?), and a lot of the other are very cool too, and I'm pretty sure there's a lot of stuff I haven't tried.

I hope MS releases a patch for it to be installed on the HDD if it's possible to do so, because I would totally love to play it with the helicopter sounds turned off.
That and a 16 players online "free mode" are the two things I probably want more than a what-the-hell-would-it-bring Crackdown 2.

I bust out Crackdown quite a bit. One of those games that I never get sick of. Still looking for 2 of those fuckin agility orbs.....maybe that's why. :lol

Really? Fully destructible environments are not even in the top 10 list of things I want in Crackdown 2.

It's been scientifically proven that 1 person out of 2 who want to see a sequel to Crackdown has only bad ideas.

Wait 'til the "more fleshed-out storyline" guys arrive. Haha.

OMFG, can you imagine a next gen crackdown with fully destructible environments?
Sooo awesome.
And when you've blown up everything you can't climb buildings anymore. No, they shouldn't be fully destructible because it wouldn't be Crackdown anymore.

That's funny, I actually popped Crackdown in in between co-op sessions of Resident Evil 5. It was still pretty awesome.

Same here. :D

I seriously hope we'll see Crackdown 2 on E3...I loved the first game.

Crackdown needed one thing and one thing only: epic boss fights.

Fighting the bosses just wasn't that different from making your way through gang territory, and they went down way too easy, especially the gang leaders.

So how the hell is MSFT suppose to fit all these announcements and demos in a 1 hour and 30 minute show?

You got Alanwake
ODST
A possible Crackdown annoucement
Maybe a rare demonstration
Whatever third party that wants to spotlight their stuff
Turn10 stuff
A possible Spawnpoint debut
Lionhead crap
Motion 3d camera stuff
Maybe a Zune Handheld
Probably APB as well...

By making their conference longer than 1.5hrs.

;)

Crackdown needs to let me crash the roofs and ceilings with impunity using my ultra stomp move.

I should also be able to shoot my way through floors.

Make it happen, RTW.

Huh, what ever. The DLC was awesome, finished it and absolutely loved it. The new vehicles were awesome as were the challenges. Don't know what you're whinging about.

Yeah , :) the keynotes always overdraw their planned times by at least 30 minutes.

Because they always start 30 minutes late...

And what are you going to do once you've crashed everything ? Just buy Red Faction Guerilla and get out of my Crackdown.

Plus I don't think a game where killing a bunch of civilian gets the police to turn back on you would let you destroy buildings like there's no problem.

The inFamous and Prototype media hype made me pick up Crackdown. Haven't got time to play it yet, but I'm curious to see what all the fuss is about.

loved the ending, how you think all along that you are helping this benevolent Agency to clean up the city and eliminate crime but it was just a plan to take control of the city themselves.

Fucking hell. Playing through now...

Crackdown 2 is almost certain. I wish they weren't so obvious about it- I prefer when game reveals come as a real surprise.

Not that I'm complaining. Crackdown is great fun, so this will be welcome news when the game is inevitably revealed

Similar to Crackdown style. Going by the file name it is called the Goliath.

If that's from a Crackdown game then it looks like someone is trying to shove some Prototype into it.

Meh.

The agency has gone bad, you have been outcast, lost all your powers and your hell bent on revenge, take on this beast

I loved that game. Orb Hunter and Free Runner are my two most treasured achievements.

Hmm... Now I want me to play more Crackdown. Unfortunately, my save with a maxed out agent got corrupted. :(

Same, and yet I just can't erase. I just can't! I'll eventually get back to it someday.

Yeah, this happened like a year and a half ago. I got my new save up to like 2 stars for most skills, but eventually just lost interest in the grind.

Just focus on a couple of games and show a bunch of other games in a montage.

Ditto, I found out in the worst way too. I wanted to show my friend who loves GTA the type of damage he could do in Crackdown...File save corrupt, want to start a new one. Sorry its just not the same being at full level and starting =[

I would, but I'm on XBL Silver.

I'm still paying for gold but I haven't been playing an online game for a long time. Tbh, I'm beginning to find it ridiculous that we have to be paying for the ability to play co-op or even competitively. Especially when you play online casually.

Meh.

I'm not interested in being anything other than a badass superhero agent in Crackdown 2 but I think monster enemy types would be a terrific idea. I still want to take on the loads of gangs armed with rocket launchers and such but there was a point where they started to become to easy of a task and made the game repetitive.

yep :lol

picked up a used copy yesterday and played it all night and then this morning.

started a new game (had beaten it previously) and loving it even more than the first time through
