I'm sorry, but I think Yoko Ono has them beat. Her performance on the late show destroyed my ears.

I assume she is going for some sort of artistic statement here, but it sounds like complete crap. her band looks like they know what they are playing is complete crap.
Ugh, this is terrible. It's a shame, because the music itself is great, but the vocals are terrible. Get that backing band to do some garage rock stuff or something and we could have something...

EDIT: That Protest The Hero song is surprisingly good. Hadn't heard of them before, but might have to go listen to some more of their stuff.

I'm actually surprised that Lady GaGa has a great voice without all the tweaking and overdone production. She needs to drop this popstar schtick and get real with it.

This is the kind of shit my roommate listens to. He plays in an "alternative metal" band. Seriously, this shit isn't music.

She was "real with it" it's the popstar sctick that made her famous.

Why is the bass pedal so damn loud in metal nowadays? Also, why do most "core" bands have the stupidest fucking normal singing voice ever? I can see if you want to scream, but when they stop screaming, they all sound like little 12 year old whiners. Also another thing that I don't understand is why all these new metal bands all contain kids wearing skinny jeans, having Final Fantasy hair, and singing about their feelings? Isn't metal supposed to be about being badass as hell?

Most metalheads/metal fans will tell you if it ends in "core" it isn't metal. Which at least thematically, is true most of the time. All the core subgenres borrow much more from hardcore than they do metal in my opinion.

i'm not sure what's going on. i thought it was supposed to be some kind of metal type shit but then if you listen long enough it gets all jonas brothers and shit. what is this? i'm genuinely confused.

Most of the "core" stuff seems to borrow from the metal/punk/new wave of the past and just makes it louder and more Emo.... there are always exceptions to the rule though..someone tried to call out Protest the Hero, and these guys are pretty fucking decent as I've been giving them a listen now.

Hate from what I've seen.

But theyve been around for longer than the crabcore band members have been alive.

And WIkipedia says: "According to a 2006 issue of Metal Hammer magazine, they are the most successful British heavy metal band since Iron Maiden."

So the "metal nowadays" critisism obviously doesnt apply.

What the hell? Are you seriously comparing that shit in the OP to Protest The Hero?
Sure, they are absolutely better than the OPs video, but I still don't get it. Especially at 1:35, when the double bass comes in, and he starts screaming.

This thread is gold.

Two things. One. To the poster on the first page, if you like some of that music better than Gaga, maybe you should search Gaga gets electrocuted. That will fulfill your needs.

And two, that hispanic rap mumbling thing reminds me of the batman ytmnd. :lol

Someone gif 1.06 where the girl falls to her knees.:lol

:lol That was my favorite part.

Because nothing says heartbreak and depression more than falling to your knees with a full Hollister bag lying in the background.

It's just.. Noise.. Alexisonfire is the only band I've seen that can pull off screaming.

Super backfire. I've heard the name before but never heard music by them. And now I'm going to fidn more stuff. Weird but cool voice and awesome guitar in that song.

On a serious note, I actually don't mind the 10% of this song where he actually sings though it's still pretty boring.

I can enjoy some screaming but there's probably nothing more I hate in this genre of music than this specific type of screaming. They're trying far too hard. I think the singer of The Used has a cool screaming voice but he uses it in specific spots and barely does at all anymore.

For people who cannot understand why some dudes like screaming/growling in their music, we love that shit because it is gritty, satisfying, and most of the time is accompanied by very heavy music. Not that I like the music in the OP, but whitehawk questioned music like Protest The Hero and I believe one other user questioned music with screaming in general. Personally, stuff like Ghost of Karelia by Mastodon and Aesthetic by BTBAM is incredibly satisfying to listen to. My favourite part of the former song is a screaming / tom roll breakdown, and my favourite part of the latter is the low growling with the double bass. Mmm. Mmm. Mmm. Sooo good.

I've thoroughly reviewed all submissions in this thread. Chacarron Macarron indeed seems to be the worst in history.

Runner-up: the Yoko Ono track.

It seems that many people have not heard about Youngster Wayne's upcoming rock album
so this is what happens when rap dies?

and the overall theme of the video is a complete rip off from skater boy -.-

meh certain metalcore bands are more metal than core, I still more or less go by: "if it isn't here, it isn't metal"

Nobody really likes CoF. Even metal fans.

I like them.

But they're obviously not a black metal band anymore, they're more like Iron Maiden on speed playing 80s gothic rock or something like that

Wow, I didn't even click the video in the op because I thought it's that attack attack song. This isn't worse or better but certainly belongs to the worst guitardriven music I've heard.

no wonder the girl in the video is covering her ears

If you name a song stick stickly, you're bound to get stick sticklied in the ass by a huge cock.

If you name your band attack attack, you most likely enjoy games like WOW or Second Life

:lol

The worst genre I've ever heard is noisecore, also known as anti-music. Basically its "music" without melody using grating noises. It falls under the loosest definitions of music if it even counts.

That's NOT anti-music. There is still rhythmic, in most cases tonality and some kind of obvious arrangement. Anti-music would be recording the sound of cars driving down the highway and releasing it as music.

Way to post an awesome band and a totally fucking awesome music video.

On the Remember Thy Name front, this is their best video because of the CRAB SUPREMACY at the beginning.

I saw this a few weeks ago and just watched the first 20 seconds over and over again. Awful band.

This is coming from a rap fan: There isn't as much unnecessary screaming and other bullshit in this song. Also the instrumentals aren't just shitty background music. So even though this isn't my cup of tea, it isn't half bad.
