Moonlight Sonata - Ludwig van Beethoven. Suitable for catastrophes like collisions, tidal waves, and such.

The Wanderer - U2 and Johnny Cash. Suitable for post apocalyptic scenarios.

The Host of Seraphim - Dead Can Dance. Suitable for plague, famine, genocide scenarios.

An Ending (Ascent) - Brian Eno
. Suitable for space threats, sun dying out, atmosphere vanishing, etc.

There She Goes, My Beautiful World - Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds. Appropriate if YOU happened to be the reason the earth is ending.

This song is quite, quite relevant (especially considering the thread's inspiration).
QUANNUM - Storm Warning
The track rarely fails to give me goosebumps.

The dark, thick, bulbous cumulus
looked more like swabs of cotton in a charcoal ditch,
stretched across all four tips of the horizon, yet its movement was swift
-- but then there seemed to be a shift,
a small pause with an oddness
and a stillness that felt... ominous

Also,

ELECTRELANE - Two For Joy (play LOUD)
This is the song I'd listen to should my mindset towards the end of days be accepting and celebratory, wild-eyed and embracing. Bring it on, party's about to end, let's go out singing along and dancing like loons, etc.

Also,

Guile's Theme. Obvious reasons.

Anything by Nujabes. Why go out in some really loud song when you can just kick back, relax and enjoy your last moments while listening to the melodies of a genius.
