My brother is going to jail... AGAIN

God, I really feel for his soon-to-be-kid. I always thought if I were about to be a father I'd try my best not to end up in prison for years at a time. Strange, since I have no criminal record to speak of.

To look on the bright side...at least he didn't steal a game console along with the TV and DVD player, so his crimes won't make national news.

Well, he brought it on himself. Too bad for the girl, though.

And while you're at it, post some pictures of you brother and his gf, I'm sure he wouldn't mind :lol

And if he does mind, it doesn't matter. He'll be in jail for the next 20 years!

yeah so this time he's going to jail for robbing a bar and also some houses. He just got arrested tonight! What a dumb fuck, after going to jail for all those years!

A list of things he stole according to the paper...

1 GE 34" Picture in Picture black TV
1 Brown 3 drawer dresser with glass top
1 Green Bueche Girod brand watch box
1 White Hankook chinabox with plates, spoons, glass
1 Christmas card w/ chinese handwriting (wtf)
1 Panasonic DVD Player (?)
$1800 in cash from the bar

and he is about to have a kid too. He's gonna go to jail for a long time i think, according to the laws of Pennsylvania. Since this would be his third felony.

ahh poor ami :( sounds fucked up

Sorry to hear about this, Ami.

You need to quit all your previous bull and move to a nice tropical island. I'm just saying that as your physician.

you should help out with your niece/nephew...and then hit it and go to prison and brag to him through that glass w/ the phone thing that you hit it. He would get all angry and pound on the glass and the guards would take him away and you can laugh and go back home and hit it again.
IAWTP :)

Such brotherly love at work here........sigh

Trust me, there's nothing to "love" my brother about. I mean, don't get me wrong... he's my brother, I still actually do love him for some reason... but he has put my family through too much. I'm not trying to embarrass him, but you have to understand what he has done. I say this only so that I don't seem like an asshole for this.

My brother has always had proper bring up, as have I. My parents never drank, they never smoked. They never did drugs. They gave us discipline when we deserved it, tried to bring us up in God as many families do, and purchased all the shit we would ever need. I was never without, you know? And neither was my brother. But for some reason since he was in 4th grade, when he first did something really bad (stole my mother's rent money to show it to kids at school), he has never stopped giving hell. When he grew into a teenager he was horrible. He got into like four fights with my father, one which resulted in my Dad literally ramming my brother's head through a wall.

My mother has lupus and rheumatoid arthritis so she has always been in excrutiating pain all her life. Would you believe that my brother would regular hit her as a teenager, and also tried to push her down the stairs? My brother would pull my sisters around by the hair and I would get into a fight with him over it to try and stop him. My brother beat his fucking 17 year old girlfriends ass (she was 16 at the time!).

I don't want anyone here to respect him, at least, that is not my intent. My brother puts himself in this position and he undoubtedly knows right from wrong. He's just an asshat.

... glad he's going to jail. he needs to think about his life and what he has done to others.

Man, Ami, really sorry to hear all that.

We all have screwed up families, if it helps any. Just this last year ridiculous crap happened on both my mom's and dad's side, and the thing was it happened with people you never thought it would. The best thing you can probably do during this time is to keep in fairly close contact with your folks, it'll probably ease their pain a little.

I'm sorry to hear about your family problem, Ami.

My dad did a couple of years in jail when I was a kid. My mom and older brother (who knew) kept it hidden from my younger sister and I, but I figured it out on my own before he got out. Different situation than yours, obviously, but I can understand the suck of it all.

Good luck.

PS - My dad completely turned it around these past 12-13 years. Hell, he's even a volunteer cop these days! One night every two weeks! If he wasn't too old to change, there's hope for your brother as well.

A friend of mine had a lot of troubles growing up. He came from a good family, but was constantly getting into trouble. There were issues which involved police, but he never went to jail. He was certainly on his way there, though.

He enlisted in the Army. We thought he was nuts, but it was exactly what he needed. It completely turned his life around. He spent some time in Kosovo. After seeing how hard it was for the people there -- they have nothing -- he suddenly noticed just how good he had it at home.

Of course, the down side is that he was shipped off to Iraq. He served his time there and came home. I don't know why he did it, but he voluntarily went back. I guess he is just a different person now?

I think there are 3 types of people:

1. The people who know what is wrong, and stay on the right path because it is the right thing to do.
2. People who know what is wrong, but only stay on the right path because of the fear of punishment by authorities.
3. People who know what is wrong, but do it anyway. They look for short term gain, while ignoring the long term impact.

Your brother must be #3. #2 would be the people who started shooting at police after Katrina hit. It was pretty much a free for all at that point.

People such as your brother might commit a crime on purpose, just to get back into jail. It sounds crazy, but he is probably desperate for some sort of structure. That is how it is with the military. There is a chain of command, you take orders, and there are repercussions if you break rank.

Some people just need very rigid structure to keep them in line.

This could be taken directly from my screenplay "Hell is for Teenagers." Except in that, the girl is 15, the guy is 27, there's no pregnancy, and she likes to listen to AFI and cut herself.
Okay, that is the funniest fucking thing ever.

Seriously, that sounds more than just a bad kid, maybe he's bipolar or something.

Or, he really is just the rotten apple in the barrel. Sad.

I don't think kids are ever better off with only one parent, unless said parent is abusive (and I don't mean spankings). And like Amir0x said, having a kid can change people too.

Eh, I grew up with one parent and I'd rather just have that one parent than this jackass for a father. Not trying to offend Amirox, but it really seems like when all is said and done, your brother has already caused a hell of a lot more harm to other people than he's ever going to make up for. This is his third time going to jail. He's already had major chances to turn it around. Is it bad to think that the world would be better off if he never existed or just ceased to exist right now?

You may be right, but if my brother joined the army at any point my parents would probably be even more pissed off at him. My parents are against it, religious reasons and such. Plus two kids in the army would kill them!

Anyway yesterday my brother had a court hearing or whatever they call it, and his lawyer was able to get them to drop all the burglary charges (which carried for him 10-20 years!), so he has criminal trespassing and something else which will net him 15 months to two years or something. Much better than that prospect anyway...

What? How do you get the state to drop charges on robbing a bar of 1800 bucks? He must have a really good lawyer! the rest of it is just fucked up though. I guess this just shows what happens to people when they don't play good games when growing up! Who said games harm people, look what a great person Amir0x turned out to be! Anticipation for Mother 3 keeps people out of jail! :D

I wasn't at the hearing, the information was from my mother. She said that he did get a good female lawyer, and that she was able to get the burglary charges dropped because he plea bargained. I think, though, the judge felt sympathy for the whole situation because he actually hugged my mom apparently and he was really nice and was all telling my brother "you have a child on the way, you have to learn your lesson here and now or else you're gonna end up here forever."

Interesting side note: When my brother was sentenced for shooting the dude in the eye all those years ago, the judge that went down so harshly on him (Mark Pazuhanich) was later charged with criminal child molestation (of his own fucking daughter!) and convicted.

Karma?

Damn, I'd be pretty fucking merciless if someone took away my eyesight.

I don't feel bad for the person he shot in the eye, because they pretty much deserved it for seperate reasons anyway. They were basically dumb fuck thugs in a gang who committed plenty of their own crimes in the past. And they were going after my brother to kill him anyway.

But my brother definitely did deserve to go to jail too, and for a long time. I just don't feel bad for them.

Damn.

A) Amir0x stick to digital crime, don't be your brother
B) The child needs an enviroment the mother and father can't provide. Something needs to be figured out there.

Wow, must be in a rough part of town or something.

Wow, they were looking to kill him? Damn, what type of shit did your brother get himself into?

:lol Yeah right. We lived in Mt. Pocono, PA when this all happened. We're from Brooklyn and all, but believe me no one in my family was taught the way of thug love. My brother picked that shit up from his desire to do the exact opposite of whatever he was told to do. But just so happened that my brother ended up joining a gang, there are gangs out here you know ;)

He was a look out for his friends in the Nietas when they were gonna gonna try to kill this one dude for some money they were owed. So his friends shot the dude, and then asked my brother to hide the gun. Fortunately the guy didn't die, but his friends were all charged with attempted murder and other various crimes. My brother was going to go down with them too, but the police allowed him to get down on the lowest felony possible if he ratted on them and testified. So my brothers friend ended up getting ten years, and my brother got a few months.

When my brother was out, the Nietas obviously were fucking pissed that he was a rat. And so they sent people to kill him.

Yikes. I sure hope he doesn't live in the same house as you anymore.

If so, you'd best sleep with a gat under your pillow. :lol
