My fiancé is unconscious

Things are well. The wedding is June 16th, coming up fast. There are some lasting problems but in general she is doing fine. When she moves too fast, or gets up/sits down too fast, she gets dizzy. She said it is like sudden vertigo after getting off of a roller coaster. She still has trouble smelling things and has started sensing false smells, which she describes as a burning chemical smell, especially around food.

I'm very happy for both of you. Best wishes for your future.

Thanks for the replies and video. She already takes about 15-30 seconds to focus when she lies down, similarly to that demonstration, but she does it out of necessity and not as therapy. No one has identified her vertigo as a particular thing. When we told her doctor about it he only said "yes, that can happen." Might be worth checking with a therapist to see if it can be an identified problem. Wouldn't have thought of that without the video so thank you!

To Demon Ice above: other issues are smaller. She gets very occasional (once or twice a week) slight pain in her upper neck that does not cause problems for her. It appears more often if she is working out. This week marked her first time jogging for a full half hour since the accident. She had a little bit of pain after that but said it didn't matter because she was so happy.

We checked with a doctor about her being able to drink and he said it was okay, but to take it easy. The alcohol would affect her much quicker. We have found that's true. She hasn't been going in wild drinking binges, but she is feeling dinnertime wine much more than she used to.

Saw you posting in another thread and remembered this incident

Very good to see things are much better, congrats on the wedding!

In regards to the vertigo thing. About a year ago my sister slipped while climbing some rocks and ended up breaking a rib and smacking the side if her head on a rock. Afterwards she experienced a similar issue with vertigo and dizziness and the doctors basically told her it would go away eventually and to just deal with it. It eventually did but it took several months.
