My Frustration with Sony is growing

Show me the receipts.

There is no way you have gone through 8 ps4s in 8 months - that or you seriously need to take a class in modern electronics.

If you sent in "8" consoles you would have e-mails with case numbers for each one considering they send those e-mails out instantly. I've even had them send me multiple e-mails for the same case.

yeah, but his kid deleted them. because, that's what kids do these days!

I'm inclined to believe the sales reps, they keep records of every single time you interact with them.

Yeah.. after 8 of anything, it's probably something to do with you.

Look into the wiring in your house because god damn.

Ur wall outlet overvolting or something?

Yeah I'm going to do that but I have put the PS4 in different places and I've plugged in various gaming systems and electronics in the same places I plug the PS4 in.
if my electrectical was messed up wouldn't it short out other systems?

Consoles haven't been super reliable the past, but the odds of you have 8 bad PS4s in under a year are astronomically low.

My 10 learned how to permenantly delete emails in school so she deleted all my past records on serviced PS4.

8 broken PS4 and this? You really have some really bad luck man.

I expected this to be orochi thread
.

That seems impossible even for a launch xbox 360. There has to be another problem specific to your setup.

Agreed. Even in our QA department we wouldn't go through 360 test kits that fast and we ran them near 24/7!! (and yes the 360 test kits were just as RROD prone too for a while)

I really feel your pain OP, but I would seriously look at all the components in you setup. The PS4 is likley just highlighting a larger issue.

Jeeze louise, I've carried my launch PS4 to my friend's place in nothing more than a pillow and a duffel bag, and I manhandle it like crazy. The only trouble I've ever had with it is 2.00 screwing up rest mode.

I had a launch 360 and only managed to go through 4. Something something receipts.

Also, maybe the problem is on your end. I mean... 8...

Not to sound like a dick but i hate when people go straight to "let me talk to your supervisor/manager". It's their job to gather as much info then pass on if necessary. 99% of the time it's not. /rant

With that said 8 PS4's? I'm surprised they're even helping you.

Honestly going to need a picture of your gaming setup... because 8 PS4 in a year is well... it points to a user error more than anything else. Even the X360 didn't have that bad of a faulty system...

Are they all being plugged into the same outlet each time?

Something's wrong and after 8 consoles....the finger starts getting pointed at you.

8 broken PS4s?!?!!? What the hell man?! there has to be some sort of environmental factor going on here. There is no way anyone is that unlucky. The failure rate on PS4s is incredibly low on average especially when compared to most consumer electronics. I have 13 friends who purchased PS4 on launch and of those 13 friends one had to send it in for repair because of the whole Amazon shipping thing. Aside from that they are all working like champs. Where are you keeping your PS4s? can you take a photo of your entertainment center setup?

Finally, FINALLY I can call a Gafer out on their bullshit because their situation isn't tied to some sort of social issue / hot button.

You are full of rich creamy shit. Even if these were launch 360's I'd still have a hard time believing you.

What are you doing with your Playstations? Turning them in any time they do something unexpected?

Nobody, and I mean NOBODY has had 8 faulty PS4's in the span of a year.

Jesus christ 8th PS4!?

At that point I'd be done with PS4 for good. I don't care what the circumstances were, I'd be out. Same thing I told my friend Eug who was on his 7th Xbox 360 by the end of his gen, but he hated Sony too much to get a PS3. There's gotta be a line somewhere for these companies lol

I'm inclined to believe the sales reps, they keep records of every single time you interact with them.

Thank you! He even said that this phone call was being recorded and I asked him aren't all phones recorded so there should be a record of my 6 PS4'S replacement!

I wonder if your 10 year old is maybe doing something. Honest response, sounds like she likes sabotage. :(

Going to need some more details, where are you plugging this in? Where is it being kept. I just can't believe that if you're babying this system that you would have 8 break in a year. Not even launch Xbox360's were THAT bad.

Also why the hell do you let your 10 year old into your e-mail?

This thread is ridiculous. 8 PS4 is quite frankly unbelievable. It HAS to be something YOU are doing, unless they keep "fixing" the same unit improperly.

Maybe you should not keep your PS4(s) in your back yard, or in the fridge, or on top of the stove, or in your shower/bath tub, or underneath your dog's water bowl, etc.

I don't really see how they are rude to you... Aafter changing 8 PS4 they should actually be the one pissed at you for popping out a new ps4 every month. After 8 failures I think it´s fair to assume the problem is on your part...

8 PS4s? The hell. Diego was right. Go get an electrician. There is something seriously wrong there.

I dunno, it's possible to be extremely unlucky. I'm still on my launch PS4 that's nice and quiet and never gives issues.

But I'm already on my fifth iPhone 6. Dead pixels, dust under the screen, random reboots/crashes, non-functional wi-fi. Had them all, and my account at Apple is flagged with a "too many returns" message. Last time I found a series of dead pixels they needed a manager override to replace the screen, which is covered and they agreed. Just bad luck I guess.

I need photos. I call Bullshit you had 8 PS4s

Maybe.. it's on your end? I don't think it's sony's fault. I think an electrician might be in order

Sometimes my PS4 refuses to power on unless I unplug the AC adapter and plug it back in. Wonder if I should be worried.

Yeah, that really sucks OP but you're talking about 7 different boxes bought at different times shorting in less than two months a piece(presumably). There's got to be something up with your electric work, cooling, or something like that. Which is not to say that you can't say there's an issue with the PS4 design that contributes to that, perhaps there is, but you have to have some unique variable there. Although even you had it in a poor spot for cooling it would be hard to imagine, unless you're like sitting in them in a volcano you have in your house or something.

Replacing your surge protector would be a decent and not terribly expensive start.

I'm thinking that either your power or the devices you are using (TV, receiver, cat5 etc...) are causing some type of surge issue.

Are you using your PS4 to charge phones or other devices besides controllers ?
