I use an old alarm clock my roomate left behind from college 9 years ago. The faceplate is broken off, but it works. I don't even need an alarm clock because I get up just before it goes off anyway.:lol

tried different things. mp3s (not changing until i hated the song, skipped that, because id ont want to hate my favourite songs), standard "beep beep beep beep" alarm, radio, but stopped that because i HATE, I HATE mornig shows on the radio with their unfunny jokes and like 3 songs they play every morning i wake up, two of them being timbaland or linkin park.

now i use my ds, despite the shitty noise it makes, i dont really get tired of it (haha) , propably some crazy japanese science behind that.

I really want a wake up light though, i think it'd help me

I always bought cheap alarm clocks in the past, and the buttons would eventually break after some use, leaving me unable to reset the alarm.

Currently I use a two-hit combo of my phone and iPod touch, set about ten minutes apart. Also, I know to set them across the room so I have to physically get out of bed to turn them off.

I can set like 5 alarms on my phone and which days I want them to go off. One is to wake me up. One is to remind me I should be heading out the door and on my way to work. One is to let me know when I should sleep if I'm playing a videogame late at night.

My current alarm is 'The Shop Song' from Castle Crashers. Previous to that it was 'Crockett's Theme' by Jan Hammer.

You use an alarm to tell you WHEN TO SLEEP?!

Depending on the game, I can get rather engrossed when playing. I'm usually pretty good about figuring out what time it is based on how tired I am but there have been occasions where I'd be playing Fallout 3 until 2:00 and barely notice. Thats why I use an alarm to let me know when I should stop playing.

I sleep with the radio on (I don't sleep as well in complete silence) and I use two different alarm clocks (one for the radio) and the other as my alarm cloak as it's more reliable (sets itself after power outages).

I've lost count of the times I've gotten up and changed the alarm or hit the snooze button.

I think the modern cellphone has pretty much made a standalone alarm clock redundant, but I still set mine out of paranoia.

Here is my alarm clock. It projects the time onto the ceiling so when I wake up in the middle of the night I can see what time it is without even moving my head. It doesn't make the room any brighter like your average back light alarm clock as well.

I have the same clock. It's so awesome waking up in the middle of the night and barely opening my eyes to check the time. During the day the ceiling projection is impossible to read though, but that's what the DVR box is for--that and for recording television programs.

I use a simple Braun alarm clock, had one like that as long as I can remember using an alarm clock. Lately I don't need it though, since I've been waking up well before it the last few weeks.

I also always have my phone set to wake me appr. 10 minutes later in case I turn off my regular alarm clock.

I need a good suggestion for an alarm clock because I can seriously sleep through a tornado ripping through my house. My brother plays the drums and they are right next to my room so I learned to sleep to really loud noises. And now I cant even wake up to an alarm, the damn thing will be beeping loud as fuck for over 2 hours untill i finally wake up and realize what time it is.

I have this RCA alarm clock (Amazon):

It's pretty damn awesome. It sets the time according to the atomic clock when it is powered. If there is one thing I hate is when the power goes out and you have to set the time. With this you do not have to, it automatically sets itself. It has an MP3 alarm, radio alarm, and a noise alarm that starts off low sounding and slowly increases in volume as time goes on until it is blaring. Also the display dims/brightens depending on the light in the room.
