My Nintendo Thread: Mii Nintendo, U Nintendo, Wii Nintendo

Do you no longer get Platinum points for visiting the Nintendo homepage while logged in (Europe)? It didn't seem to trigger for me despite repeated attempts. :/
 
WTF, I got another double mission completion for logging into Miiverse. This is the second time that's happened. Not that I'm complaining, but I wonder what the hell is going on, lol.
 
I finally have 1000 points and I have no idea if I should spend them on The Legend of Zelda Picross or Wario Ware Touched. Picross is available until October.

Can anyone give a recommendation? :p

I say WarioWare, being the first retail DS game you can download (unless you count the rare DS retail game that got a native port to DSiWare like Steel Commando).

If you've played any of the Picross games on 3DS, note that folks say that TP is actually using a different and apparently worse control method, why I have no idea.

I play the Pokemon Picross game. I'll collect 1000 points again until October (I guess I'll have to start playing Miitomo again) and see for myself.
 
I'm excited to pick up WarioWare Touched, and it's great to have a DS game on 3DS, but the internal memory is just so small. It can fit just over 1,000 blocks. WW takes up 214 blocks, so if all DS games would take approximately that amount (many would probably be larger), we'd be lucky to fit 4 to 5 DS games on here. I just bought a new 32gb SD card to replace the 2g one that came with the 3DS, and I thought I'd never have to worry about space again...

Oh well, it doesn't seem like we're really going to be flooded with game choices, anyway. It seems like they might rotate the platinum DS game four or five times a year? I wonder what the chances are that Advance Wars Days of Ruin will be up next, since that was the first Japanese platinum game (I think?)

You can move those you don't play onto the SD card.

You can move them, but you can't launch them from the SD card. To play a DSiware game, you'd have to make space and then move it back.

The mynintendo service wasn't symmetric from day 1, unfortunately. Does anyone know what the JP birthday offer(s) are ? That seems a bad way to give discounts and stuff out to me, if I'm honest.
 
Well guys, I've finally joined the Wii U train, got the a refurbished 32gb for $20 (traded in a lot of PS3/PS4/3DS games) got Twilight Princess, Metroid Prime Trilogy and 3D World. Am I doing it right?

Anyways, do we only get points for digital purchases? Edit: Never mind, found it in the OT.

But with Club Nintendo you'd get nothing for those Platinum coins because you wouldn't even be able to earn them.

I already got Zelda Picross and Wario Touched.

To clarify what I meant by bring back Club Nintendo. Rotate the VC Rewards on a monthly basis.

The problem is that most people don't earn coins at such a fast pace. If someone runs out of coins near the end of a month and then new VC games get added the next and are set to expire in 30/31 days, they might not even be able to collect enough Platinum coins before the deadline, even with doing all the Miitomo/Website stuff.
 
So I finally decided to pay attention to this thing, set up my account, downloaded Miitomo, etc. got to 600 platinum points pretty quick but I think I'm stalled now. I only have like one friend through Twitter who has Miitomo. Can you no do Miitomo with random people? There's exactly zero chance of me getting those "receive comments" and whatever awards in Miitomo then.

So I'm looking at generating what, like at most ten coins per day from changing outfit and answering questions? Does this thing just totally stall out without Miitomo friends? All I want is that Zelda Picross but I have no idea how to get there from here. :/

You can still get 120 a week outside of Miitomo. 30 for accessing Nintendo.com (or regional equivalents) while logged in, 30 for logging into My Nintendo and clicking the stack of coins by your Mii, 30 for accessing the eShop on 3DS or Wii U, and 30 for accessing Miiverse (any version, including the web-based one).
 
A couple follow-up questions.

Urgh.

1) Evidently I already owned SMG2. But I found out after already getting the JFY discount. So can I get those coins back?

2) We have two accounts, the main one linked to Wii U and 3DS and the secondary one linked only to the second Wii U profile. If I get a JFY offer using the secondary account, will my eShop balance show up (from my primary acct...?) and will the downloaded Wii U software show up in both accounts on the Wii U?

Anyone know where I can access that review option/question? I wanted to do it later, but I can't find it anymore. Did it expire? How many Miitomo coins did it give you?

Gives you 25 Miitomo coins...not sure where you can see the question if you bypassed it.

Not sure man, calling Nintendo will be the best way to resolve it. 300 coins ~ $300....so I'd call.

This is why I haven't done the Face-to-Face mission for Miitomo yet since it offers 100 Miitomo coins. Old coins will expire in 6 months so I'm saving that mission for a reward that is actually worth purchasing.

I've only bought Warioware Touched.
 
So are there going to be different free games after July 1st? I already got TP and Warioware and miitomo feels kinda bland as a social app. If there is new stuff tho I'll save up so I can grab the game quickly.

Probably cluttered forever as Nintendo seem to constantly do this, like with Mario Kart 8 for example where the main menu DLC link never disappears even if you buy all of the DLC.
Things like this annoy me immensely.
 
In Europe, just got a notification on the site that they're adding a bravely second theme for 100 plat coins. Purchase button doesn't work yet, but in as soon as it does.
