Legit the worst game I've ever played. Horrible design, abysmal controls and a hideous camera. Every aspect of the game had severe flaws. A 0/10 if there ever were one. I loved the original Sonic Adventure and tolerated the sequel and Sonic Heroes but Sega totally lost the plot with this one.

I can't even imagine how the game would have been good. As I've said some of the problems were so fundamental that they would have had to scrap everything to make a competent game. The failure level was astoundingSusurrus said:

I two liked both of the Sonic Adventure games, I even thought the pre-release demo wasn't too bad. But somehow they managed to even fuck that level up too in the final game. I rented this on a free Gamefly trial so it cost me nothing and I still felt ripped off.
The best thing about the game is that it was fairly stingy on achievements and I couldn't bear to play any longer. Since I've earned zero gamerscore on it I'll be able to delete any trace of it from my played games list when the new dash update comes out

Okay I played a bit more. Another level and boss as Sonic, a level and boss as Silver.
Sonic's level was less annoying than the first, but it wasn't really enjoyable. After beating Silver (who is really fucking cheap by the way) I decided to give his story a try and I accidentally had some fun. The basic gameplay is still flawed, but the ideas are interesting and I could easily see this fleshed out into a full game (a better one at that). I may just keep on trucking with Silver.
Playing as Blaze is annoying. Why did they even do this? It sucked in Sonic Heroes and it sucks here.

If the info is true, supposedly Elise's body is modeled under her dress, complete with polygonal, textured nipples.
I'm putting some caveats on there because I don't know if the model has been modified, but I personally believe it wasn't.

Shorthand version is this: Many of the models have been ripped to a format that can be imported into Garry's Mod. This has happened with lots of the previous Sonic games, Smash Bros, Galaxy, et cetera, there's a thread with some funny creations that pops up here from time to time. As you can see, the poster turned up transparency on the dress part, and then used the camera to clip into the model for a better view.
Now, what's very possible is that they cheated and modified an existing model from some resource to make Elise, and didn't remember to fix it. However, if this really is the unmodified model, that's a pretty significant thing to miss, particularly for a game that sells in this:
And if you think there's no chance of the player ever seeing it in game, now that people know it's there, I'm sure they'll find creative ways to glitch the camera to clipping into the models to confirm.
I'm not outraged, I just love that it adds to the laundry list of what a huge catastrophe Sonic 2006 was. :lol

People are still curious enough to go any where near this game still? Mind you I did the same exact thing: picked it up really cheap to see if it was really that bad, and only played it for about an hour before I couldn't take anymore. Fixing all the load times and glitches would not have come close to saving this game, as every decision in it was wrong to begin with. Nothing is done right, it fails on so many levels it's like they went out of their way to fuck it up. I think I ripped the disc out of my PS3 as soon as I solved that "which guard in this area is the general" puzzle. I mean wow, they must of being doing this on purpose.

How are the load times affected after install?
If an install would eliminate 50% of the loading, I'd be able to play this.
I will say this, underneath what is probably the single most rushed, alpha stage piece of software I have ever played, there is the heart of a good Sonic game.

That's how bad this game is though. It has clouded a lot of peoples memories of the older games they loved and made them think those stunk too. It really did tarnish the Sonic franchise's reputation to most forever. The series could have survived from the Shadow game as that was a bizarre spin off experiment gone wrong, but it could not survive this.
As for that strange nipple under the dress thing, don't quite a few games do this? Oh yeah, beastiality jokes, gotcha.
