My Sister Ruined Everything I Hold Dear

Sororicide is a hotly contested topic in the contemporary American body politic, one which divides the nation more heatedly than Roe V. Wade. Many feel that the killing of one's sister is, under any condition, immoral and should remain instantiated as illegal; others feel that under certain conditions, the killing is justified and should be permissible under current US law, such as when they fail to understand highly acclaimed video games of historical significance; still others feel that girls should not be permitted to exist at all.

Further, it is not yet decided what weapons would be allowable to complete the process of sororicide -- knives, firearms, and select infectious agents (administered discretely and with doctor approval) have all been suggested. As is often the case with longstanding moral and legal quandries, the topic is not a simple one, and has many confounding variables and complicated facets.

I wonder what thoughts pass your mind with every last hit.

Not used to Opiate jokes lmao

I thought this thread was going to head in a completely different direction...

guess im off to xnxx now.

My sister (who rarely ever plays videogames) just spontaneously asked me about Fire Emblem after some of her friends mentioned the 3DS one is good. So today she spent all day playing the GBA one (I'm easing her into the series on easy mode Sacred Stones). She sucks and has been restarting the early levels way too often, hahahaha.

My sister couldn't beat Angel Island Act 1.

That's when I realized she would never be into videogames.

Sacred Stones? :(

All about FE7.

Anyone picking up a Zelda game for the first time has every rational expectation to assume the main character's name is Zelda. Let's face it, the series is oddly named. It's like calling a game "Metal Gear Meryl" because she factors prominently in the storyline.

Link not having pink hair in the new 3DS game is bullshit.

I know, right!? I was mad when they changed it in the LTTP GBA port.

So, here is our last conversation.

"What is your favourite Mario game that isn't Yoshi's Island?"

"Mario RPG."

"RPG? What does that mean?"

I don't think she is ready.

Edit: I just told her I don't think she is ready, she replied with "I am ready. Trust me."

Cute.

Tbh old Sonic games suck ass. Those Sonic Collection discs are horrible because it's just a bunch of boring games.

Fire Emblem Awakening is a more newb-friendly IMO. Awakening's normal (which is lowest difficulty) is about the same level as Sacred Stones's easy. But Awakening also has casual mode, which means there's no permadeath and you can save and reload mid-battle as much as you want.

Games, dude... Serious business.

She has to reach the age of 21 before she even tries Mario RPG. That shit is like drinking beer or smoking. She might turn into a delinquent! THE HORROR

Hey, up until I was like 8 (when I played Smash 64 for the first time), I thought Link's name was Zelda, too.

Seriously though, why does Link have pink hair in ALttP? Such an odd design decision.

Choke down a couple bran muffins, then swill down some Metamucil and then a big bowl of Uncle Sam's cereal and let her enjoy herself and get over it.

I came into this thread expecting to read about your sister ruining your marriage, of costing you a dream job.

Bad form sir, bad form.

Hah, and I thought you didn't have a sense of humor.

Jesus, let her play whatever the fuck she wants. I'm sure your superior elite gamer history wasn't without a few rotten titles at the start. She'll come around. You don't truly appreciate a good game until you've played many shitty ones.

Woah guys I am not mad or anything I just decided to have her try a game I enjoy.

She's been playing Pac-Man 2 for awhile, I haven't bothered her.

Although she keeps having me solve all the puzzles for her.

I think it's awesome that she loves video games at all. Let her play what she wants. She'll gravitate to what interests her.

I'm just ribbin' you. I think it's cool that she enjoys games. You should make a pile of games she might like. She might dip into it. She might not. At least she'll have an easier time making a choice.

Just because she's not playing the games you played growing up doesn't mean you should force them on her or be mad that she's playing a game you think is bad. She likes it, that's what matters. I came into this thread expecting your sister either smashed your stuff or deleted your game saves.
